Based in Auckland, New Zealand, the New Order Youth International Film Festival (NOYIFF) endeavours to cultivate avant-garde sensibilities and foster imaginative exploration among young filmmakers through an international short film competition that begins in China and New Zealand and extends globally. Beyond the competitive aspect, the festival endeavours to explore a diverse array of possibilities, championing innovative aesthetics and structural experimentation while also applauding diverse cultural perspectives, unique modes of thought, and unrestricted audio-visual expression transcending cultural and national boundaries.

NOYIFF is committed to fortifying the creative ecosystem and empowering the burgeoning community of young creators. We eagerly anticipate young filmmakers leveraging their cultural identities, artistic inspirations, exceptional imaginations, and forward-thinking creativity to propel the innovation and evolution of cinematic language, shaping the mission and impact of boundary-breaking avant-garde image seekers, leaving an indelible mark on the annals of cinematic history.

The festival aspires to curate and exhibit the multifaceted tapestry of youth film creations, providing effective and equitable standards for artistic evaluation, rekindling the essence of cinema, and guiding creative trajectories. We encourage and champion filmmakers who dare to explore new frontiers, offering encouragement and support to collectively propel the evolution of film art.

While focusing on the present, NOYIFF recognises the necessity and urgency for film festivals and universities to become strategic partners, considering it a top priority in NOYIFF's long-term strategy. This partnership aims for resource complementarity, interdisciplinary collaboration, talent cultivation, and multicultural exchange. From professional technical training to industry resource sharing and practical platforms, we aim to provide multifaceted assistance to young filmmakers while ensuring talent support and guaranteeing the sustainable development of the film industry.

NOYIFF aims to serve as a beacon and nurturing ground for young film creators. We firmly believe that the evolution of contemporary film art depends on the passion and ingenuity of the younger generation, pushing boundaries and transcending norms. Each participant is regarded as a trailblazer in the cinematic landscape, leading the charge for the future. Therefore, we spare no effort in providing a platform for young creators to showcase their talents and realise their dreams. Whether exploring cultural legacies or pursuing avant-garde visions, we eagerly await their stellar performances, spreading their works far and wide, allowing more people to experience the allure of film art and the potency of young filmmakers.
