NISFF is conducting an Inspirational International short film festival and invites participation from aspiring and upcoming independent filmmakers. The NexGn International Short Film Festival of India had showcased over 900 plus short films in 3 years. This year we had a live streaming session on Facebook for those who were not able to attend the event during the hard times of COVID19. This festival also provides networking events and ample opportunities for selected film-makers to showcase their achievements, learn from their fellows and build contacts for future collaborations. The Festival also benefits from the vibrant Indian film-making community of India.

Rules & Terms

Short film’s length should be maximum of 60 minutes with Start to End Title.

Feature film’s and Documentary length should be maximum of 300 minutes with Start to End Title.

Short Films or Features streamed or uploaded on other platforms (YouTube, Facebook, OTT) are also accepted.

Censor Certificates or Banner registration is not required.

Short Films DVD’s are also accepted but it should be new or not used and must be sent through confirmation on call (Refer Contact Us Page on official website for details).

Short Films & Features must be in MOV/MPEG/MP4 format only. Subtitle is compulsory for other languages except Marathi/Hindi/English.

Prizes will be in form of Cash, Trophies & Certificates.

Last date for submission of form is given on the Website (Please refer website for updates).

Certificates will be given to Selected, Quarter Finalists, Semi-Finalists, Finalists & Award Winners only.

Top 150 short films will be selected for final screening. (Based on Situation & Time)*

The decision of the Jury will be final, nobody is permitted to ask or counter about the short film not selected or not for the final round of the festival.

Names of Jury Members won’t be disclosed until festival starts to avoid corruption & bribery.

Submitter, Producer or Director is fully responsible to get no objection certificate from whoever own the rights of the short film on their Letter Head.

No legal action against the Jury members & organizers should be taken based on the Decisions taken of the Film.

Form to be filled online along with the google drive link or any other link to your short film. You can Submit multiple Films.

Registration Fee is mentioned on official website as well as the FilmFreeway which is Non-Refundable in any case.

    I am very much thank ful to the Jury Members and Committee members of the festival for honouring our short film A Stage In A Journey with Official Selection., and quarter finalist. But I did not get any invitation for the festival and winners list was not communicated. I hope the organisors will soon announce winners list .

    Thanks for selecting my short film “Anikalan” for quarter final. But however I have neither been invited to participate on the Event Date 18.04.2-26 nor received any screening schedule and films that haven screened on the event day. I do not know whether the event has happened at all on 18th April 2026.
    If anyone has attended please put your review and comments.
