  • I have been attending MVAAFF as a filmmaker since 2008. When creating projects I always try to reach think about the quality of films, and the sophistication of the audiences at MVAAFF. Official selections admitted into the festival are always of the highest quality and the calibre of filmmakers in attendance is always world class. The event organizers, Floyd and Stephanie are responsive and caring towards the filmmakers and they truly go above and beyond to provide the right mix of opportunity for each participant and attendee. I am a big fan of this festival and always submit my projects to be considered here because I know that it will reach a very broad audience accompanied by other opportunities to continue our journey as film producers. I highly recommend this event to all who are reading this and fully endorse the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival as the premiere event for filmmakers who want a quality screening opportunity accompanied with an amazing location, great people and most importantly amazing movies. Salute to Steph and Floyd!
