REGOLAMENTO MURMAT SHORT FILM FESTIVAL 2025
Art.1 ASSOCIAZIONE SHAKE ART
Trattasi di una manifestazione culturale, senza alcun scopo di lucro, organizzata dall’associazione Shake Art, specializzata in promozione sociale, il cui fine è di valorizzare l’opera cinematografica breve, realizzata da autori indipendenti e professionisti.
Art.2 LUOGO E DATA DEL FESTIVAL
La settima edizione del MURMAT SHORT FILM FESTIVAL si svolgerà a Roma il 10 OTTOBRE 2025. Durante la serata verranno proiettati i progetti selezionati e ci sarà la premiazione.
Art 3: REQUISITI DI PARTECIPAZIONE
Art. 3.1 GENERE
Possono partecipare al concorso OPERE AUDIOVISIVE in formato fiction, anche animata, o documentario di qualsiasi genere, affini al tema sociale o alla tematica libera. Per le opere di origine estera sono richiesti obbligatoriamente i sottotitoli in inglese o in italiano.
Art. 3.2 DURATA, TEMATICA e ANNO di PRODUZIONE
Settima edizione: prevede due temi, TEMA Sociale “La bellezza” e opere a TEMA Libero. Al concorso verranno accettate opere audiovisive con durata massima di 20 minuti inclusi i titoli di testa e di coda. Prodotti ultimati tra l’anno 2022 e l’anno 2025. La direzione del festival si riserva la facoltà di selezionare opere che superino di poco il limite massimo consentito qualora vengano ritenute altamente valide.
ART. 3.3 ISCRIZIONE
Per partecipare alla selezione preliminare del festival è previsto il pagamento di una quota di iscrizione che varia in base alla distanza temporale dal festival. Iscrivendosi entro la prima finestra temporale la quota sarà di 10 Euro, mentre nella seconda 13 Euro e nella terza 15 Euro per ogni cortometraggio inviato, quale contributo per le spese di segreteria, da versare per mezzo di https://filmfreeway.com/murmatfestival.
La deadline finale è il 31 Luglio 2025 (ore 23,59).
Tale quota non verrà rimborsata nel caso l’opera non venisse selezionata. Tutti gli iscritti dovranno compilare la tessera associativa scaricabile qui:

Entro il 1° settembre 2025 la Direzione invierà una mail di risposta agli autori per comunicare l’avvenuta selezione al festival.
ART. 4 GIURIA/SELEZIONE DEI CORTI
ART 4.1 Il Consiglio Direttivo del Murmat Festival nominerà una commissione giudicatrice qualificata per la visione delle opere e l’assegnazione dei premi. Il giudizio della giuria è inappellabile. Una giuria di professionisti visionerà le opere pervenute e selezionerà quelle ammesse alla serata finale.
Gli autori delle opere finaliste saranno contattati dalla direzione del festival per l’invio tramite WETRANSFER di un file del corto, in formato .MOV, oppure mp4 (codec h264, ACC o Linear PCM) max 1 gb, più materiali pubblicitari.
Gli autori delle opere selezionate saranno invitati a rispondere alle domande della stampa e del pubblico presente al termine della proiezione dei propri lavori in concorso.
Art. 4.2 GIURIA DELLA SERATA DI PREMIAZIONE
Durante la manifestazione finale le opere selezionate saranno proiettate al pubblico e alla stampa, alla presenza della giuria di esperti.
Art. 4.3 LA GIURIA DEL PUBBLICO
Al pubblico presente alla serata sarà fornito un modello online sui i nostri social con l’elenco di tutti i corti finalisti ove potrà votare il miglior attore e la migliore attrice e il miglior corto. Chi avrà ottenuto il maggior numero di voti verrà premiato durante la serata conclusiva del festival.
Art. 5 DIVULGAZIONE PROMOZIONALE
Le opere ammesse alle serate finali, le date di proiezione e la composizione della giuria saranno rese note almeno 7 giorni prima sul sito www.murmatfestival.com e sulla pagina facebook ufficiale https://www.facebook.com/Murmat-Festival, così pure ogni altra comunicazione circa lo svolgimento del concorso.
La direzione del festival potrà utilizzare le opere pervenute per la divulgazione promozionale e pubblicitaria del concorso (anche dopo la chiusura dell’edizione), per nessun motivo le cederà ad altri o le trasmetterà per mezzi audiovisivi (web TV / TV private ecc.)
Art. 6 PREMI
Miglior Cortometraggio a Tema Sociale, deciso dalla giuria nominata dal Festival.
Miglior Cortometraggio a Tema Libero, deciso dalla giuria nominata dal Festival .
Miglior Attore e Miglior Attrice decretato dal pubblico in sala.
Migliore Fotografia deciso da un professionista di lungo corso.
Miglior corto del pubblico.
I vincitori si impegnano a menzionare l’attribuzione dei vari premi in ogni occasione ed in tutte le forme di lancio pubblicitario.
I vincitori si impegnano a inserire il logo del Festival nelle loro opere.
I premi in denaro si intendono al lordo della ritenuta a titolo di imposta del 25% ai sensi dell’art. 30, 2° comma DPR 600/73.
I premi in denaro sono quantificati dalla direzione del Festival in misura dei fondi ricevuti.
La partecipazione al festival implica l’accettazione integrale del presente regolamento. La direzione del festival si riserva il diritto di prendere ogni decisione non prevista dal presente regolamento, per far fronte a eventuali problematiche che si potrebbero verificare durante il suo svolgimento. The Murmat Short Film Festival Returns for Its Seventh Edition, Bringing Innovation and New Features
For its seventh edition, the Festival continues to focus on social themes, opening submissions for short films of any type (fiction, animation, documentary).
This year, the defined social theme will be Beauty.
The Festival requires all submitted works to be completed from 2022 onwards, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, including opening and closing credits.
Foreign films must include Italian subtitles or, alternatively, English subtitles.
Awards
There will be six awards:
Best Social-Themed Short Film, decided by the Festival’s jury.
Best Free-Themed Short Film, decided by the Festival’s jury.
Best Actor and Best Actress, awarded by the audience.
Best Cinematography, decided by an expert.
Best Short Film - Audience Award.
Shake Art Association
Art. 1
This is a cultural, non-profit event organized by the Shake Art Association, which specializes in social promotion. The aim is to enhance the value of short films created by independent authors and professionals.
Art. 2 - LOCATION AND DATE
The 7th edition of the Murmat Short Film Festival will take place in Rome on October 10, 2025.

Art. 3 - PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Art. 3.1 - GENRE
Audiovisual works in fiction (including animation) or documentary format of any genre may participate, addressing either a social theme or a free theme.
Foreign films must include English subtitles.
Art. 3.2 - DURATION, THEME, AND PRODUCTION YEAR
Seventh edition themes: Social Theme: "Beauty" - Free Theme.
The competition accepts audiovisual works with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, including credits, completed between 2022 and 2025.
The festival reserves the right to select works exceeding the duration limit if they are deemed of high artistic value.
Art. 3.3 - REGISTRATION
To participate in the preliminary selection of the festival, an entry fee is required, which varies depending on the submission period:
€10 for early submissions.
€13 for the second window.
€15 for the final window.
The final deadline is July 31, 2025.
Fees must be paid via FilmFreeway.
This fee is non-refundable if the film is not selected.

The Festival will confirm the selection to the authors via email by September 1st, 2025.
Art. 4 - JURY & SHORT FILM SELECTION
Art. 4.1 - Selection Committee
The Murmat Festival’s Board of Directors will appoint a qualified jury to review the submissions and assign awards.
The jury’s decision is final.
A panel of professionals will evaluate and select the films for the final night.
Finalist filmmakers will be contacted by the festival organizers to send a high-quality version of their short film via WeTransfer, in .MOV or .MP4 format (codec h264, AAC, or Linear PCM), max 1 GB, along with promotional materials.
Selected filmmakers will also be invited to participate in a Q&A session with the press and audience after the screening of their films.
Art. 4.2 - Award Night Jury
During the final event, the selected films will be screened before an audience, the press, and a panel of industry experts.
Art. 4.3 - Audience Jury
The audience attending the event will receive an online voting form (available on the festival’s social media) listing all finalist films.
Attendees will vote for the Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Short Film.
The winners with the highest votes will be awarded during the closing night.
Art. 5 - PROMOTIONAL DISTRIBUTION
The finalist films, screening dates, and jury members will be announced at least 7 days before the festival on the official website www.murmatfestival.com and Facebook page Murmat Festival.
The festival organizers may use submitted films for promotional purposes, even after the festival’s conclusion. However, the festival will not transfer them to third parties or broadcast them on audiovisual platforms (e.g., web TV/private TV channels).
Art. 6 - AWARDS
Best Social-Themed Short Film, selected by the Festival Jury.
Best Free-Themed Short Film, selected by the Festival Jury.
Best Actor and Best Actress, chosen by the audience.
Best Cinematography, decided by an expert.
Best Short Film - Audience Award.
Important Notes:
Winners must mention their awards in all promotional materials and film credits.
Winners must include the Festival logo in their works.
Cash prizes are subject to a 25% withholding tax, as per Article 30, 2nd paragraph of DPR 600/73.
The amount of cash prizes will depend on the Festival's available funds.
Participation in the Festival implies full acceptance of these regulations.
The Festival’s management reserves the right to make decisions not covered in these regulations in case of unforeseen circumstances.
