I had a lovey time attending My Name Is Climate, meeting the team and other filmmakers. There's great ambition and I look forward to seeing the festival grow year on year

  • While we were not able to attend this year’s My Name is Climate film festival in person, I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to have my film, Silvestres (English title: Wilding), included in such an impactful event.

The festival’s focus on climate change and environmental issues has never been more crucial, and it’s been inspiring to see such a wide range of voices and perspectives coming together to push these conversations forward. Silvestres explores the decline of pollinators and how we as humans are adapting urban environments to the evolving climate crisis. It’s a topic that blends the urgency of environmental issues with hope and adaptation, and we are thrilled that this story found a place among so many powerful films at the festival.

Thank you to the team for putting together such an interesting event, and for providing a space where climate and environmental filmmakers can share their work with a like-minded audience. I’m excited to see where the festival goes in the future and to continue supporting its mission to elevate storytelling that drives change.

I truly appreciate such opportunity to be selected and to showcase my short film, "Ice Breaker" to the jury and audiences at this festival that mainly concentrates on important global issues. I would like to thank the Jury for selecting and awarding my short film the Jury Award. It means so much to me that my storytelling speaks to a wider audience across language barriers and that the story itself transcends the cultural differences and touches audiences from the other side of the world. This wouldn't be possible without My Name is Climate Film Festival that provides a platform for international film lovers and filmmakers to connect.
