Marmostra International Film Festival

1. Enquadramento

1.1 A Marmostra nasceu como uma Mostra de curtas-metragens que se afirmava como um espaço que viaja pelo mar entre uma mostra contemporânea e uma retrospetiva histórica. Após quatro edições e com a exibição de mais de 300 curtas metragens, nacionais e internacionais, a Marmostra na 5ª edição tornou-se em Festival Internacional de Cinema.

1.2 O festival é idealizado e organizado por amantes do cinema e pretende dar visibilidade às diferentes produções nacionais e internacionais, nos seus diferentes registos técnicos e temáticos.

O Marmostra é uma iniciativa da Associação de Moradores da Praia da Tocha, com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Cantanhede e da Junta de Freguesia da Tocha.

2. Objetivos

2.1 O Marmostra tem como finalidade o convívio, troca de experiências e divulgação dos trabalhos e dos respetivos autores, bem como proporcionar o acesso à cultura cinematográfica portuguesa e internacional.

3. Condições de participação

3.1 São admitidos no Marmostra curtas-metragens de documentário, ficção e animação, tendo como temas:

Mar
Ambiente
Tradições

3.2 Para além destes, esta 7ª edição reedita o Marmostra Júnior, com o tema Mar, direcionado a realizadores com idade até aos 15 anos.

3.3 Não há limite para o número de obras que cada realizador pode apresentar, sendo a inscrição de cada obra feita individualmente.

3.4 Cada curta metragem não deve exceder os 30 minutos.

3.5 Não serão aceites obras já inscritas e/ou selecionadas em edições anteriores.

3.6 O responsável pela inscrição da obra, deve indicar obrigatoriamente o tema a que concorre.

3.7 As obras apresentadas devem ser faladas ou legendadas em português, caso contrário não serão consideradas para seleção. (Fator eliminatório).

4. Inscrição

4.1 A inscrição é gratuita.

4.2 As inscrições são feitas obrigatoriamente através da plataforma FilmFreeway em:

4-3 Para que a inscrição seja válida, o participante deve deixar a obra disponível para download na plataforma FilmFreeway.

4.4 O participante deve ter em conta o ponto 3.7, dado ser fator eliminatório.

4.5 As inscrições terminam a 31 de Maio de 2024

4.6 Juntamente com as obras a concurso, devem ser enviados os seguintes elementos:

Sinopse da curta-metragem (Português ou Inglês)
Trailer ou excerto da curta-metragem (até 2 minutos de duração)
Fotografia do realizador
Fotografias do filme e/ou cenas sem grafismos
Poster do filme
Link com as redes sociais do realizador (Instragram ou Facebook)

4.7 A inscrição no Marmostra pressupõe o conhecimento e aceitação integral dos termos e condições do seu regulamento, reservando-se a organização o direito de recusar qualquer obra que não cumpra o estipulado.

4.8 Ao apresentar um trabalho, o/a participante garante que o mesmo é integralmente da sua autoria, não infringindo quaisquer direitos de autores conexos, ou direitos de propriedade de terceiros.

5. Seleção de filmes

5.1 A seleção de obras a serem exibidas no Marmostra será feita por um júri designado pela organização

5.2 Ao fazerem a inscrição dos seus filmes no Marmostra, os autores aceitam a condição de que a organização do festival poderá usar as suas obras em futuras extensões e outras exibições sem fins lucrativos.

5.3 Todos os trabalhos participantes, sejam ou não selecionados, integrarão o Arquivo de Filmes da Associação de Moradores da Praia da Tocha, que nunca os utilizará com fins lucrativos.

5.4 A organização do Marmostra reserva o direito de ponderar e decidir sobre qualquer questão omissa neste regulamento.

6. Prémios

6.1 As curtas-metragens selecionadas concorrem para os seguintes prémios, para cada um dos três temas:

1º Prémio - 300€ (trezentos euros)
2º Prémio - 150€ (cento e cinquenta euros)
3º Prémio - Menção honrosa

6.2 Para o Marmostra Júnior haverá um prémio de 100€ (cem euros) para a curta-metragem vencedora.

6.3 A todos os selecionados será emitido um certificado.

ENGLISH

1. Background
1.1 Marmostra was born as a short film showcase that asserted itself as a space travelling by sea between a contemporary showcase and a historical retrospective. After four editions and the screening of more than 300 national and international short films, Marmostra's fifth edition became an International Film Festival.
1.2 The festival was conceived and organised by film lovers and aims to give visibility to different national and international productions, in their different technical and thematic registers.
1.3 Marmostra is an initiative of the Associação de Moradores da Praia da Tocha (Residents' Association), with the support of Câmara Municipal de Cantanhede (Municipal Council) and Junta de Freguesia da Tocha (Parish Council).

2. Purpose
2.1 The purpose of Marmostra is to promote social interaction, exchange experiences and divulge the works and their authors, as well as provide access to Portuguese and international film culture.

3. Conditions for participation
3.1 Short documentary, fiction and animation films about the following themes are eligible for Marmostra:
- Sea
- Environment
- Traditions
In addition to these, Marmostra Junior (aimed at filmmakers up to the age of 15), will be held again. The theme will be Sea.
3.2 There is no limit to the number of films each director can submit, but applications for each film must be done individually.
3.3 Each short film must not exceed 30 minutes.
3.4 Films that have already been entered and/or selected in previous editions will not be accepted.
3.5 The person responsible for registering the film must indicate the theme for which it is competing.
3.6 All films submitted must be spoken or subtitled in Portuguese, otherwise they will not be considered for selection (eliminatory requirement).

4. Registration
4.1 Registration is free of charge.
4.2 Applications must be made via the FilmFreeway platform at: https://filmfreeway.com/marmostrafilmfestival
4.3 For the application to be valid, the participant must make the film available for download on the FilmFreeway platform.
4.4 Applicants must take into account point 3.6, as it is an eliminatory requirement.
4.5 Applications close at 31/04/2024.
4.6 The following elements must be sent along with the works in the competition:
- Synopsis of the short film (Portuguese or English)
- Trailer or extract from the short film (up to 2 minutes long)
- Photograph of the director
- Photographs from the film and/or scenes without graphic elements
- Poster of the film
- Links to the director's social networks (Instagram or Facebook)

4.7 Participation in Marmostra presupposes full knowledge and acceptance of the terms and conditions of its regulations. The organisation reserves the right to refuse any work that does not comply with them.
4.8 By submitting a film, the participant guarantees that it is entirely his/her own and does not infringe any related authors' rights or the property rights of third parties.

5. Selection of films
5.1 The selection of films to be shown at Marmostra will be made by a jury appointed by the organisers of the festival.
5.2 By submitting their films to Marmostra, the authors accept the condition that the organizers of the festival may use their works in future extensions and other non-profit exhibitions.
5.3 Marmostra reserves the right to consider and decide on any matter not covered by these regulations.

6. Prizes
6.1 The short films selected will compete for the following prizes, for each of the three themes:
- 1st prize - 300€ (three hundred euros)
- 2nd prize - 150€ (one hundred and fifty euros)
- 3rd prize - honourable mention
6.2 For Marmostra Junior there will be a prize of €100 (one hundred euros) for the winner of the short film.
6.3 A certificate will be issued to all participants.
