to the contest you agree to the following conditions.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1.Recognition & Awards:
Every submitted film will get certificate of participation.
Every officially selected film will get Certificate of Excellence- Official Selection certificate.
Every award Winner will get Cash prize,Award Certificate & Trophy.
Every festival attendee will get festival mementos.
Every award winning short film festival will be listed in our website and social network.
Audience interaction for film makers after film screening.
1st prize will be 60,000.Rs and chitraka dravin film house will produce one short film of winner.
2nd Prize will be 30,000.Rs
3rd Prize will be 10,000.Rs
Certificates and award will be given in following categories:
Best International short Film
Best Indian Short Film
Best Director
Best Cinematography
Best Editing
Best Original Score
Best Actor
Best Actress
Best International short film will be eligible for cash prize.Others will get trophy,certificate and fim
makers video will be published in social media.
Note :Best International Short Film can be of Indian language(Indian Short Film) or of any foreign
language.
2.Accepted Movie Type And Movie Duration:
Movie duration should be between 5 to 20 minutes
Music Video should be between 2 to 20 minutes
Movie should be either Short film,Animation or Music Video
Film should be subtitled in english if the language is not english
All films should have color grading (DI)
Registration fees will be applicable for every participants except students.
All Travel, Lodging & Boarding and other miscellaneous expenses will have to be borne by the
participant himself for attending the festival
Once the film is submitted it can’t be withdrawn in any circumstances, however festival director
reserve the rights to disqualify any film on certain grounds
By submitting movie to International Short Film Festival, filmmaker/producer takes the whole
responsibility of copyright issues of music, script and other creative and technical aspects of film
Shortlisted regular entries will be notified by the festival office in the month of September
Short Film festival movie screening followed by award ceremony will be at Chennai in the month of
November or December.The award ceremony date will notified to participants through instagram
page, email or through website
Participants has to follow the festival page to get the regular updates of short film
Jury members will be well known film directors from Indian cinema
By submitting your project, take note that: You agree to use parts of your project
(including trailer/teaser/film poster/stills) for promotional purpose.
You agree to submit your short film in our site ,youtube channel and also in our sponsors satellite and youtube channel.
Entry fees are non-refundable
Each film maker can submit multiple entries
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Malank International Short Film Festival, from and
against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to
attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving
copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos
entered
Decision made by festival committee will be final
FORMATS
Films should be submitted in .Mp4 or .Mov format
The Festival strongly encourages finalist film directors and associated staff (actors/athletes,
screenwriters, producers, etc.) to attend the festival
All language, All film /project/song accepted
3.Disclaimer:The submitter understand and accept that if their project is accepted for presentation
and screening at the film festival, they grant full and unrestricted permission for International short
film festival to screen the film/video
The Film Festival reserves the complete right to make changes in the program dates
Malank International short film festival and its partners are not responsible for any claims connected
with the film
4.We Do Not Aceept:
1.Amateur videos. 2. Extremist or propaganda content from religious or political organizations. 3.
Projects involving politics / films promoting political agenda. 4. Pornography. 5. Films with a poor
production standard (bad sound, lack of subtitles for non-English films, poor resolution
