16th LOS ANGELES BRAZILIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - LABRFF 2023

The Los Angeles Brazilian International Film Festival - LABRFF is the most important Brazilian film festival in the United States. It was founded in 2007 and has screened over 1500 films including features, documentaries, and shorts. The City of Los Angeles has recognized the festival as the most important international cultural event for the past 16 years.

WE ARE AN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL AND ALL MOVIES ARE WELCOME!!!

We accept movies from all countries, including fiction features, documentaries, and shorts. All genres are acceptable.

Rules & Terms


Read before submitting your movie:
All shorts MUST be only up to 20 minutes long.
All movies MUST be subtitled in English if English is not the original language.

Submitting your film does not guarantee festival acceptance or screening. Acceptance into
the festival does not guarantee an award or prize. Submission fees are non-refundable. LABRFF reserves the right to change its programming without notice.
LABRFF is not responsible for your airline tickets and/or hotel to attend the event.
LABRFF is not responsible for your subtitles, however, we do have a vendor to recommend.
We only accept movies with English subtitles, with no exceptions.
We only accept shorts with a maximum of 20 min. No exceptions.
Films must have been produced from 2020 up to now.
We do not return promotional material sent to us to promote your movie.
You must provide us with all the metadata and trailer in ENGLISH.

    Amazing Festival!! Thank you so much for the Best Documentary Award plus all amazing prizes in money and Distribution by O2!! OH MY GOD!!!! Meire Fernandes is a pioneer, with unbelievable network, and press coverture. Netrola is also fantastic and all the team. A high level festival in the world's most symbolical and important cinema capital. Congrats to this huge festival! Hope to come back again with new films! It's an event where you can make not only networking but real friends for the rest of your life! I'm so forever grateful!!!
