We are bringing together two of the greatest inventions of the modern era: sports and cinema. In the historic city of Istanbul, sports lovers, cinema lovers, directors, producers, athletes, actors, and actresses will gather for this festival.

The Istanbul Sports Film Festival, which will be held in Istanbul, a part of Europe’s sports heritage, aims to serve as a platform for the creation of new films. take your place at the festival to be part of this unique experience.

Competitions will be held in the categories of short films and documentaries, and awards will be given to the winning films.

Additionally, a selection of films chosen by the jury will be screened for the audience.

ISFF, open to artists from all around the world, also aims to offer a unique experience with various events focused on sports.

Rules & Terms

1-Short fiction films and documentary films are eligible for submission.
2-Fiction films submitted to the competition must not exceed 20 minutes.
3-Documentary films are limited to 50 minutes.
4-A director or producer cannot submit more than two films.
5-Films completed after January 1, 2022, may be submitted to the competition.
6-The final submission deadline is January 3, 2027.
7-English texts will be requested from the finalist films.
8-All submitted films must have English subtitles.
9-The festival organization will invite the directors of the finalist films to Istanbul. However, payment of expenses is not guaranteed and will be announced later.
10-The jury may award a special prize if deemed necessary.
11-All copyright responsibilities lie with the filmmaker.
12-Finalist films will be screened in the following formats: DCP and MP4.
13-Finalist films will be announced on January 15, 2027.
14-All submissions that follow the above rules will be accepted.
15-The festival management reserves the right to screen the competition films until the end of 2027. No additional fee will be paid to the producer or director for this.
16-Films created entirely by artificial intelligence will not be accepted into the competition.
17-However, they may be considered at the discretion of the jury.
18-The participation conditions consist of 18 items, including this one.
