SUBMISSION TERMS & RULES
PROCEDURES-
1.For Submitting your work in any category.You must agree to ALL Terms and Conditions of entry to The Indian Film Festival Australia.
2.All submissions are due by due dates as mentioned on FilmFreeway
3.All Films must have been released after 1st JANUARY 2023
4.Premieres are not required but will be considered in the final programming decisions.
5.Your film must not have been broadcast on Australian TV.
6.The same film can be submitted in one or more categories, each submission requires a separate entry form and fee.
7.In the event of a film being withdrawn, Indian Film Festival Australia will not be liable to refund the fee or return the materials entered.
ENTRY MATERIAL-
1.ENTRY FORM completed on FilmFreeway
2.SUBMISSION FEE (Non Refundable) (Fee Categories Refer to Festival Awards Category)
3..All submissions MUST be accompanied with a Synopsis
Short Films a 50 word or less synopsis (may be used for Festival Program and website) Feature Length Films: 100 Word or less synopsis (may be used for Festival Program and website).
4.SCREENERS- (Pre- Screening Entries )A Secure Online Screener, preferably Vimeo
5.TRAILER- 15.seconds trailor of the film -Vimeo format
6.If your film is chosen for shortlisting or as a finalist we will need the following materials.
7. Electronic Press Kit (EPK) - including synopsis, director's biography 60 words, names of cast and crew and other information about the film.
8. Film Stills - 4 stills, including at least 1 MAIN image (for use of any publicity and programming) Your MAIN image should be landscape format and 470 wide x 265 high pixels.

11.You MUST include a contact name, address ,email, phone number with your entry.
12.If your film is selected to be screened at the festival, you will be required to provide the FINAL EXHIBITION copy of your film in DCP FORMAT a press kit, synopsis, TRAILER: 15-second trailer of the film in downloadable or Vimeo format.
CATEGORIES
FEATURE FILMS-
1.Eligible in this category are films with a running time of 60 minutes or MORE.
2.Films Made in India
3.Films ( irrespective of its theme) made by Filmmakers of Indian descent from any part of the world /worldwide.
4.Films by international filmmakers with a prominent Indian focus, significant Indian content, India inspired subject matter.
5.Films made internationally with A( Director, Writer, Producer, Lead Actor/Female or Male of INDIAN DESCENT are also eligible.
SHORT FILMS-
1.Eligible in this category are films with a running time of LESS than 60 minutes
2.Films Made in India
3.Films ( irrespective of its theme) made by Filmmakers of Indian descent from any part of the world /worldwide.
4.Films by international filmmakers with a prominent Indian focus, significant Indian content, India inspired subject matter.
5.Films made internationally with A( Director, Writer, Producer, Lead Actor/Female or Male of INDIAN DESCENT are also eligible.
TERMS & CONDITIONS -
1.Films selected by The Indian Film Festival Australia agree to provide in a timely manner the screening copy of the film in an approved format, as well as adequate publicity materials, such as director’s bio and photo, film stills, film trailer and/or film clips.
2.Submission of a signed entry form constitutes acceptance of the Indian Film Festival Australia regulations.
3.By submitting, you acknowledge that you give The INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA the authorisation to utilise any excerpts, images or biographical information of the filmmakers from any film submitted for promotional purposes.
4.INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA is granted permission and the rights by (THE SUBMITTER) that may be the Director, Production House, Producer, Film maker, a Corporation or an Individual, to use Titles, Photographs ,Excerpts, Stills, Footage for promotional purposes before, during, and after the event INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA
5.INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA is granted permission and the right to use photographs, footage, and other materials gathered during the event for promotional purposes . Promotion may include, but not be limited to: websites, social media , advertisements, Radio or TV coverage, internet and print sources.
6.The submitter provides Indian Film Festival Australia indemnity from any liabilities, claims, losses, and expenses relating to any trademark, copy-write, screening ,credits, publicity. The SUBMITTER holds the sole responsibility of copyright clearance of any copyrighted material in the film.
7.By submitting to INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA you have agreed that you have the legal right to submit your creative artistic work, that you have the legal right to submit the creative work., including music and your submission is your confirmation that in submitting you have obtained written legal permission to submit copyrighted material from its copyright owner, and you agree to hold the INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA harmless by submitting.
8.By submitting your Web Series work to the INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA, you are agreeing to this statement. (In submitting this work, I am claiming that it is my own & that I hold all necessary copyright or have the permission of the owners of copyright to incorporate portions of their work .I am the creator and author of the work submitted & I have the rights and permission to use the audio in the entry.I understand that it is my responsibility to obtain any necessary permissions & licenses)
9.If your film is selected to be screened at the festival, you will be required to provide the FINAL EXHIBITION copy of your film in DCP FORMAT or TO BE DOWNLOADED FROM FILM FREEWAY, a press kit, synopsis, TRAILER: 15-second trailer of the film in downloadable or Vimeo format.
