The International Changing Perspectives Short Film Festival is an international take-away film festival dealing with the topic of cultural exchange. The festival will start in Istanbul with a week program. During the year there will be other screenings in various European cities. Filmmakers will be invited and academic panel discussions on the topic of academic cultural exchange will be held.
Initiated by Katadrom Arts and Culture and Social Politics Association based in Istanbul- ‘The 7th International Changing Perspectives Short Film Festival’ will be held between the dates of 6th – 10th of March 2019 in Istanbul, to then continue its yearly tour across other cities around the world.
2019 theme is "Distance"
The Festival will screen more than 100 short features, short documentaries, short animations etc. of young filmmakers, students and teams who express different perspectives, concepts, and imaginations about "Distance".
The programme of ICPFF consists of following sections:
“Distance”; the main theme,
“Cultural Insights”; where the cultural perspectives and contrast of life will be focused, “Ridicule”; where the films that entreats the absurd and humorous sides of life will be screened,
“Purple Portraits”; where the stories and experiences of powerful women will be told, “Umbrella”; standing against all kinds of discrimination and exclusion,
“Swerve Away”; stories of lives that are changed with a sharp turn,
“So Far, So Close”; stories of late history, personal history and nostalgia,
“Hybrid Sensations”; where all the sensations turn upside-down.
The festival already left a mark for its innovative and groundbreaking character – a ‘take-away’ festival consisting of films screenings, panel discussions, photography exhibitions, and workshops.

Submission Deadline: January 11, 2019
“Potluck Award”
The "Potluck Award" is the money collected from this year's submission fees, and it will be given to the best title. This way, filmmakers who submitted their film to the festival will be contributing to a fellow filmmaker. The winning film will be announced on the Opening of the festival and through the festival’s social media pages and official website.
2018 Potluck Awards
Chosen by the international programming team of ICPFF and selected by a jury of experienced professionals of cinema, arts, and culture, last year’s award went to 2 titles:
“Calamity”. directed by Séverine De Streyker and Maxime Feyers (Potluck Award)
and
“In White”. directed by Dania Bdeir. (Professionals’ Choice)
