Our seventh edition of Ibizacinefest, already like new
qualifying festival for the Goya Awards 2023 for the
fiction and documentary short film categories, has
been a resounding success with the public, press and films
released in Spain. With 10 days of projections in the
island of Ibiza and reaching all of Spain with our
online programming through FILMIN.
We have once again met our two parallel objectives of
bring to our islands the most courageous and
cryptic, and at the same time, as a festival markedly
territorial, quality independent cinema that will reach the
commercial halls of the peninsula, but never to Ibiza.
The 2023 edition has been a great success with the public and
press, confirming the IBZCF as one of the main
emerging festivals in Spain.
We believe in a committed auteur cinema, with points of
necessary sight, that can move in substance and form, in
the margins of the norms of commercial cinema, with total
creative freedom.
IBZCF is once again a 100% face-to-face festival, but
Filmin continues to be essential for us, giving the
possibility of having viewers throughout Spain.
We offer national online visibility to the films that
wish (14 feature films in the 2023 edition), with
various possibilities of permanence during the 10 days
of the festival, even offering 24-hour premieres.
Filmin also connects us with the industry and our
desire to participate and assist in the distribution of these
films, since some of them, discovered in the
IBZCF, although they are state premieres, obtain contracts and
They are included in the Filmin catalogue.
Our Collaborative Distribution Award Continues
with #ConUnPack and the Mexican film RICOCHET, thank you
to its award, it will be released in theaters and platforms thanks to
his presence in IBZCF22.
Our Pitching and advice sections for
four feature film projects have continued online,
supervised by Ángela Bosch and we premiered SORBELTZA,
the short film that won our script contest in
IBZCF22 and received a cash prize for his
co-production.
Our new programs dedicated exclusively to
secondary school students has been one of the points
strengths of this edition, the acceptance of the students to the
programming presented has been one of our great
satisfactions, after all they will be the public future of the
festival and less conventional and commercial cinema, but of
great authorial quality and social commitment, which
We strive to schedule.
The same acceptance is repeated in our second edition
CINEKIDS, a program of animated short films
for the little ones who will enjoy in 4 municipalities of
Ibiza.
We will continue in our 8th edition the intention set
in 2023, premiere feature films in Spain and help them in
its distribution, occupy the 3 commercial halls of the Island,
schedule around 100 quality movies
proven, author, independent, brave,
engaged... . .and therefore cryptic, which otherwise
they would not reach our island.
Throughout the year we will continue to develop an audience
thanks to our educational programs.
