By entering Holidays365 International Film Festival™ (Holidays365 IFF), purchasing a ticket to the event, or receiving a complimentary admission ticket or pass, you (“Event Participant”) agree to the following terms and conditions. By participating in the event, you agree that Holidays365 IFF may videotape and photograph you, and record your voice, conversation and sounds, during and in connection with your appearance and that Holidays365 IFF shall be the exclusive owner of the results of such taping, photography and recording (the “property”) with the right to use that property throughout the world in all media now known or hereinafter invented, an unlimited number of times in perpetuity, and to copyright and license others to use all or any portion, or a reproduction, thereof in the same manner, including, without limitation, in a program to be produced and disseminated by a promotional partner or advertising partner of Holidays365 IFF. You also agree that your photo or a likeness of you may be used for promotional purposes without compensation to you.
FILM CONTEST RULES AND TERMS:
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: Entries for Holidays365 International Film Festival™ Contest (the “Contest”) can be submitted as per dates and deadlines section on this page.
ELIGIBILITY: Films must meet the holiday-themed content standards of traditional, non-traditional and international holidays, as described above. Holidays365 IFF reserves the right to disqualify a submission, without refund of any kind, if eligibility requirements are not met including if eligibility status changes post-submission.
HOW TO ENTER: Create a film of the specified length of time according to its respective category (a “Film”). Submit your film via www.filmfreeway.com. Follow the instructions to complete the entry form. Entry fees per project are paid in full at the time of submission and are non-refundable.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: To submit your Film you will be required to provide your first and last name and email address. The information you provide will be used only by Holidays365 IFF administration for the purpose of contacting contest winners. Your information will not be used for any other purpose or shared with any party not affiliated with the Contest except to the extent permitted by law.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: Official Selections and Winners will be chosen by the Holidays 365 IFF on the merits of each entry and judged by a panel of experts that has been curated by and at the sole and absolute discretion of Holidays365 IFF. All winners and official selections will be notified by the email address provided on the entry form. Failure to respond within the time frames listed in the notification email may result in the provisional winner forfeiting the prize.
RULES FOR ENTRY: Entries may not contain, as determined by the Holidays365 IFF, in its sole discretion, any content as stated: An Entry must be the original work of the Entrant, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity. If an Entry contains any material or elements that are not owned by the Entrant, and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, the Entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submitting such Entry, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the use and exhibition of the Entry by the Holidays365 IFF in the manner set forth in these Terms, including, without limitation, name and likeness permissions from any person who appears in or is identifiable in the Entry, music licenses and location releases. The Holidays365 IFF reserves the right to request proof of these permissions in a form acceptable to the Holidays365 IFF from any entrant at any time. Failure to provide such proof may, if requested, render Entry null and void. By submitting an Entry, the Entrant warrants and represents that he/she/they and any persons appearing or who are identifiable in the Entry consent to the submission and use of the Entry in the Contest and to its use as otherwise set forth herein. Any Entry not in English must contain English subtitles. Entries may not contain graphic nudity or excessive violence. Your film must be available for the Holidays365 IFF staff to download and include on our streaming sites, www.holidaychannel.net/festival and www.holidays365filmfest.com. By submitting an Entry, the Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Holidays365 IFF may obtain many Entries in connection with this Contest, and that such Entries may be similar or identical in theme, idea, format or other respects to other Entries submitted in connection with this Contest. The Entrant waives any and all claims that any Entries and/or other works accepted, reviewed and/or used by the Holidays365 IFF may be similar to the Entrant’s Entry, or that any compensation is due to the Entrant in connection with such other Entry or other works used by the Holidays365 IFF.
Holidays365 IFF team reserves the right to switch your submission to a different category as they see fit.
CATEGORIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Criteria will include content, form, and technical achievement for all categories.
FEATURE: 60 minutes minimum run time or more; all genres accepted.
SHORT: 30 minutes maximum run time including credits; all genres accepted.
VERTICAL VIDEO: Between 2 minutes minimum and 3 minutes maximum run time; vertical format (9/16); All genres accepted in the form of fiction, documentary, and animation.
INTERNATIONAL: Must not be filmed in any location within the United States of America
ANIMATION FEATURE: 60 minutes minimum run time or more; all genres for animated video or film accepted; must qualify as a cartoon, 2D animation, 3D animation, clay animation, sand animation, Anime, computer graphics, puppetry animation, stop-motion animation, flip book animation, experimental animation, and other qualifying definitions of animation.
ANIMATION SHORT: 30 minutes maximum run time including credits; all genres for animated video or film accepted; must qualify as a cartoon, 2D animation, 3D animation, clay animation, sand animation, Anime, computer graphics, puppetry animation, stop-motion animation, flip book animation, experimental animation, and other qualifying definitions of animation.
STUDENT FILMS: Must be 15 years old or older and enrolled in high school or undergraduate college; all genres accepted; must provide copy of student identification with entry submission; producer and director must be students; all genres accepted; vertical videos accepted; no time restrictions.
KIDS FILMS: Must be 14 years old or younger and enrolled in school; must provide copy of student identification with entry submission; producer and director must be students; all genres accepted; vertical videos accepted; no time restrictions.
PRIZES: Biannually, laurels and finalist certificates will be sent to all projects selected. One (1) prize each will be awarded as follows: Grand Jury Prize, Best of the Fest Jury Awards, Shooting Star. Each selected winner will receive:

Prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash or subject to substitution.
TERMS FOR WINNERS: Winners may not request substitutions of prize winnings. All winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees as well as all additional costs that may be incurred. If the specified prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Holidays365 IFF in its sole and absolute discretion may substitute a prize of like or equal value. Holidays365 IFF reserves the right to condition the award of prizes upon the execution by the winner(s) of a publicity release. Notwithstanding this reserved right, entry is conclusively deemed to be permission by the Entrant for Holidays365 IFF to use the Entrant’s name (without compensation to the Entrant) if the Entrant is a winner to publicize the Contest and otherwise, as determined by Holidays365 IFF, unless prohibited by law. In addition, Holidays365 IFF may request actors and other participants in the Film to be present for/participate in press and promotional activities
GENERAL CONDITIONS: By submitting an Entry, each Entrant agrees: (a) to abide by these Terms, and the decisions of the Holidays365 IFF, which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Contest; (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless the Holidays365 IFF, the Holidays365 IFF’s licenses and assigns, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the forgoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages, claims, debts, demands, actions or causes of actions, suits, sums of money, damages, and liabilities of whatsoever kind or nature of any kind to persons, from the Entrant’s participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity or as a result of the Released Parties exercise of the rights granted to them as set forth herein, or in connection with the defense of any claim or claims on account thereof, including reasonable attorney’s fees. (c) to the use of his/her name, voice, performance, photograph/Film, image and/or likeness for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide, by the Festival and its designees, without compensation (unless explicitly stated otherwise, in writing). (d) By participating, the Entrant also agrees not to release any publicity or other materials on his/her own or through someone else regarding his/her participation in the Contest without the prior consent of the Holidays365 IFF, which it may withhold in its sole discretion.
OWNERSHIP/USE OF SUBMISSIONS: By submitting an Entry, you hereby grant to the Holiday365 IFF a royalty-free, fully paid up, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, combine with other works, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, edit and display such Entry (in whole or in part) including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons or locations embodied therein, and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed FOR THE PURPOSES OF EXHIBITION AT OR PROMOTION OF THE of the Holidays 365 International Film Festival (Holidays365 IFF). By submitting an Entry, The Entrant acknowledges that the Holidays365 IFF has no obligation to use or post any Entry submitted.
MISCELLANEOUS: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms, or the rights and obligations of the Entrant and the Holidays365 IFF in connection with this Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law rules (whether of the State of New York or for any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York.
