Frame by Frame Film Industry Summit, Festival & Gala brings together filmmakers, industry professionals, educators, and creative leaders for a multi-day event focused on strengthening the independent film industry—one frame at a time.

Hosted at the Historic Lobo Theatre in Albuquerque, New Mexico, July 24-26, 2026.
Workshops and additional screenings will be held at the Black Cat Cultural Center just around the block.

The event combines a professional summit, film festival, and industry marketplace, featuring screenings and awards for features, pilots and episodic series, and vertical micro-dramas, alongside expert-led workshops, master classes, and a vendor and resource hall. The weekend culminates in a gala celebrating outstanding work and industry leadership.

New this year, the event also includes an Education & Workforce Summit, bringing together instructors and program leaders to strengthen the pipeline of skilled film and television professionals.

About the Screenplay & Pitch Competition:
The Screenplay & Pitch Competition is an opportunity for filmmakers, writers, and creatives to pitch their film or series projects to a panel of producers, directors, and industry experts.

Participants may submit in one of three categories: Feature Film (Production Consideration), Series or Limited Series (Production Consideration), or Feedback Only (for high-concept, fantasy, or large-budget projects not feasible for immediate production).

Finalists will pitch their projects live at the summit. Selected winners will receive full production support, professional consultation, and creative credit. Feedback-only entries will receive detailed written notes to support project refinement.

The goal of this competition is to discover bold, feasible projects and give emerging creators a platform to break into the industry through hands-on mentorship and production opportunities.
