The FOC: Freak On Camera – International Fantasy Film Festival is a unique celebration of terrorific, bold and experimental cinema that will take place in October 2025 in Godella, Valencia. Over the course of two days, the festival will bring together filmmakers and audiences to enjoy a one-of-a-kind selection of short films from fantastic genres: horror, science fiction, fantasy, thriller, experimental, and animation. With a focus on the most provocative and daring stories, FOC is a platform for creators who challenge the norms of traditional cinema and explore new narrative boundaries.

The program will include screenings of the selected short films, talks, and industry meetings, as well as an opening ceremony, an awards gala, and a post-party with live music. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with fellow filmmakers and enjoy a unique and creative environment.

El FOC: Freak On Camera – Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico es una celebración del cine más terrorífico, audaz y experimental que se celebrará en octubre de 2025 en Godella, Valencia. Durante dos días, el festival reunirá a cineastas y público para disfrutar de una selección única de cortometrajes de géneros fantásticos: terror, ciencia ficción, fantasía, thriller, experimental y animación. Con un enfoque en las historias más provocadoras y arriesgadas, el FOC es un espacio para dar visibilidad a creadores que desafían las normas del cine tradicional y exploran nuevos límites narrativos.

La programación incluirá proyecciones de los cortometrajes seleccionados, charlas y encuentros con profesionales de la industria, así como una ceremonia de apertura, una gala de premios y una fiesta post-party con música en vivo. Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de conectar con otros cineastas y disfrutar de un ambiente único y creativo.

· Participation:

- The festival is open to short films of any nationality.

- Only short films of up to 20 minutes in length, including credits, will be accepted.

- Submissions must belong to one of the following genres: fantasy, horror, science fiction, weird, animation, experimental, or hybrid.

- Non-Spanish spoken films must include subtitles in Spanish and English.

· Submissions:

- Submissions must be made through the official platforms: FilmFreeway.

- A maximum of 2 films per director is allowed.

- Submission fees are non-refundable.

· Selection and Screening:

- Once selected, films must be provided in high-quality projection format.

- The festival reserves the right to reject any film that contains hate speech, discrimination, or incitement to violence.

- Participants authorize the use of posters, images, and teasers for the festival’s promotional purposes.

· Awards and Recognitions:

- Selected films will be screened during the festival.

- Awards include personalized trophies (3D printed), diplomas, cash prizes, and promotion across festival networks and media.

· Participation Rights:

- Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules and terms.

- Each selected film will be entitled to 2 full passes for attending the event in Godella.

· Participación:

- El festival está abierto a cortometrajes de cualquier nacionalidad.

- Solo se admitirán cortometrajes de hasta 20 minutos de duración, incluidos los créditos.

- Las obras deben pertenecer a alguno de los siguientes géneros: fantástico, terror, ciencia ficción, weird, animación, experimental o híbrido.

- Las obras no habladas en español deben incluir subtítulos en español y inglés.

· Inscripciones:

- La inscripción de cada obra debe realizarse a través de las plataformas oficiales: FilmFreeway.

- Se permite un máximo de 2 obras por director/a.

- Las tarifas de inscripción no son reembolsables.

· Selección y Proyección:

- Una vez seleccionadas, se requerirá un archivo de proyección en alta calidad.

- El festival se reserva el derecho de rechazar cualquier obra que contenga mensajes de odio, discriminación o apología de la violencia.

- Los participantes autorizan el uso de pósters, imágenes y teasers de sus obras para la promoción del festival.

· Premios y Reconocimientos:

- Los cortometrajes seleccionados serán proyectados durante el festival.

- Los premios incluyen trofeos personalizados (impresos en 3D), diplomas, premios económicos en metálico, y la promoción en redes y medios del festival.

· Derechos de Participación:

- La participación en el festival implica la aceptación total de estas bases y condiciones.

- Cada obra seleccionada tendrá derecho a 2 pases completos para asistir al evento en Godella.
