I am thrilled to share that my experimental film, "What If Schools Taught Us to Love," had the distinct honor of receiving the first prize at the 9th Caribbean Sea International Film Festival. This recognition from FICMARC is a testament to the dedication and passion poured into every frame of the film.

FICMARC provided not only a platform for diverse and high-quality cinema but also a supportive and engaging environment for filmmakers. The festival's commitment to showcasing unique voices and perspectives is truly commendable.

Receiving the laurels associated with the award adds another layer of prestige to this achievement. The entire experience with FICMARC has been seamless, from submission to the virtual festival itself.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the FICMARC team for their hard work in making the festival a success and for honoring my film. I look forward to future editions and encourage fellow filmmakers to participate in this exceptional festival.

Thank you, FICMARC, for this incredible opportunity and recognition.

    Best regards,

    Yannick Borit
