Registration is now open for the 13th International Film Festival in Balneário Camboriú, a complete event that presents the best of International and Brazilian cinema to the public.
Programers seek to present the work of new or consolidated directors, who stimulate different types of sensitivity, through feature films, medium format and short films. FICBC also seek innovative audiovisual works made in different production support aimed for different exhibition formats.

Filmmakers, professionals and artists participate in activities with the public and contribute to the development of cinephiles, new professionals and critical thinking.
The Audiovisual Market includes the Screenplay Contest, Co-production Meeting, Directors' Room, Country Focus and others.

The Audiovisual Residency provides workshops, lectures and public debates with artists and professionals.

"Each year FICBC is more complete, never forgetting to give visibility to each selected film. There were many meetings between the public and professionals and between professionals from different countries that made it possible to consolidate new co-productions ”, says André Gevaerd, founder and director of the festival. For the curator, Barbara Sturm, the objective is "to show the best of current art cinema in national and international productions and by placing directors to interact with the public and press."
It is a cultural event with an innovative format that has consolidated itself as an event of great importance. Several media outlets follow its development and place it as an official part of the annual calendar of major film festivals. In ten years, presented important guests such as directors Carlos Sorín, Frederike Jehn, Helene Klotz, Hanna Doose, Beto Brant, Renato Ciasca, Sérgio Machado, Rubens Velloso, Patrícia Moran, Francisco Garcia, Chico Faganello, David Schurmann, artist Hans Op Beeck, actresses Bianca Byington, Paula Braun, Djin Sganzerla, Christiane Tricerri, actors Marcos Azevedo and Ivo Muller, critic Rodrigo Fonseca, among many others, who were present and had direct contact with the public.

THE DIFFERENT SESSIONS OF THE FESTIVAL:

Internacional: shows films that make their international or national debut. Short, medium and feature films, from all around the globe, that participate in a competition.

Nacional: Especial for Brazilian productions. Short, medium and feature films.

Catarina: projects films made by directors from Santa Catarina or who have a relationship - director, producer, cast, crew, location, others - with the state of Santa Catarina.

Vivo: open to new manifestations of the audiovisual language through new means of production and different exhibition supports. Expanded cinema, live cinema, installations and formats that go beyond the possibilities of the dark room.

Noturna: opens a window to fantastic cinema at night sessions.

Infantil: brings programming for all ages, training young film fans.

Já estão abertas as inscrições para o 13º Festival Internacional de Cinema em Balneário Camboriú, um evento completo que apresenta o melhor do cinema brasileiro e estrangeiro para o público.

A curadoria busca apresentar o trabalho de diretores estreantes ou consolidados, que estimulem diferentes tipos de sensibilidade, através de filmes exclusivos e inéditos de longa, média e curta-metragem, além de obras audiovisuais inovadoras realizadas em diferentes formatos de produção e destinadas às variadas formas de exibição.

Cineastas, profissionais e artistas que participam das atividades junto ao público e contribuem para a formação de cinéfilos, novos profissionais e pensamento crítico.

O Mercado Audiovisual, inclui o Concurso de Roteiro, Encontro de Coprodução, Sala dos Realizadores, Foco País e outros.

A Residência Audiovisual proporciona Oficinas, Palestras e Debates do público com artistas e profissionais.

"A cada ano o FICBC fica mais completo, sem se esquecer jamais de dar visibilidade a cada filme selecionado. Foram muitos os encontros entre o público e profissionais e entre profissionais de diferentes países que possibilitaram a consolidação de novas coproduções”, afirma André Gevaerd, fundador e diretor do festival. Para a curadora, Barbara Sturm, o objetivo é “mostrar o melhor do cinema de arte atual em produções nacionais e internacionais e colocando os diretores para interagir junto ao público e à imprensa.”.

Trata-se de um evento cultural com formato inovador que se consolidou como um acontecimento de grande importância. Diversos veículos de comunicação seguem seu desenvolvimento e o colocam como parte oficial do calendário anual dos grandes festivais de cinema. AS DIFERENTES SESSÕES DO FESTIVAL:

Internacional: exibe filmes brasileiros e estrangeiros que fazem sua estreia internacional ou nacional. São aceitos filmes de curta, média e longa-metragem, brasileiros e estrangeiros, que participam de uma competição.

Nacional: exibe filmes Brasileiros em uma competição que leva um panorama do melhor produzido pro produtores e diretores do país.

Catarina: projeta filmes realizados por diretores catarinenses ou que possuam alguma relação – diretor, produtor, elenco, equipe, locação, outros – com o estado de Santa Catarina.

Vivo: aberta a novas manifestações da linguagem audiovisual através de novos meios de produção e diferentes suportes de exibição. Cinema expandido, cinema ao vivo, instalações e formatos que ultrapassam as possibilidades da sala escura.

Noturna: abre uma janela para o cinema fantástico em sessões noturnas.

Infantil: traz programação para todas as idades, formando jovens cinéfilos.

Awards & Prizes

Awards &Prizes in English (para português leia abaixo)

The selected films are evaluated by the Official Jury.
At the International, they will be awarded the Golden Owl in the categories: Feature Film - Film, Screenplay, Director, Photography, Art, Editing and Performance / Medium Feature - Film, Aesthetics and Performance / Short Film - Film, Aesthetics and Performance.
In Catarina, they will be awarded the Bilo do Cinema award, in a single category that combines long, medium and short films - Film, Aesthetics and Performance.
Corujinha will award the Golden Owl in a single category that combines long, medium and short films - Children's Works and Children's Works.
Vivo will be awarded the Vivo - Work, Innovation and Language Award. The Festival will be able to contemplate a feature film production with the Distribution Award that will guarantee the distribution of the film in the Brazilian commercial cinema circuit.
The productions will also be awarded by the Audience Award and the Critics Award.

Os filmes selecionados são avaliados pelo Júri Oficial.
Na Internacional serão premiados com a Coruja de Ouro nas categorias: Longa-metragem – Filme, Roteiro, Diretor, Fotografia, Arte, Montagem e Atuação / Média-metragem – Filme, Estética e Atuação / Curta-metragem – Filme, Estética e Atuação.
Na Catarina serão premiados com o prêmio Bilo do Cinema, em uma única categoria que une longa, média e curta-metragem – Filme, Estética e Atuação.
A Corujinha premiará com a Corujinha de Ouro, em uma única categoria que une longa, média e curta-metragem – Obra Infantil e Obra Infantojuvenil.
A Vivo será premiada com o Prêmio Vivo – Obra, Inovação e Linguagem. O Festival poderá contemplar uma produção de longa-metragem com o Prêmio de Distribuição que garantirá a distribuição do filme no circuito comercial brasileiro de cinema.
As produções também serão premiadas pelo Prêmio do Público e pelo Prêmio da Crítica.

Rules & Terms

Rules & Terms in English (para português leia abaixo)

MOVIES

01- Only films finished on or after January 2018 will be accepted;

02- Brazilian movies will be accepted even if they may have been screened in other Brazilian festivals;

03- Films need to be submitted in their original version;

04- Films in languages other than Portuguese must be subtitled in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French;

05- Late submission or film materials will not be accepted;

06- All submitted material for selection will not be returned;

07- In order to protect the interests of the filmmakers and the producers, all films submitted will be archived in the reference collections of FILMOTECA for the sole purpose of onsite documentation and research, excluding any loan;

08- Selected films will be announced in the www.festivalbc.com;

09- All material of selected films will be used for promotional purpose (TV, site, others);

10- Programming is at the sole discretion of the curatorship of each festival section and their decision is final and irrevocable;

11- Each film may be screened during the festival according to grade definition and for festival itinerancy;

12- Films selected as première should preserve its status until official presentations at the festival;

13- No film selected may be withdrawn from the festival program after its confirmation;

14- The responsible for submission must provide the dialog list in .srt to the festival when asked for;

15- The festival will not confirm by email the receipt of the DVDs and application forms. Please do not send emails asking this confirmation;

16- Participation in the festival requires the unconditional adherence to its regulations as set out here;

17- Just be accepted in festival projects that followed and be in accordance with this Regulations;

18- The submission to the festival confirms the agreement with all rules and conditions of the present regulation.

SCREENPLAY CONTEST

1.1 Registration for the Screenplay Contest will be open until November 18, 2020, Brasília time.

1.2 Directors from all over the world, over 18 years of age, registered or not under a pseudonym, are eligible to participate.

1.3 Only scripts written in Portuguese, Spanish or English will be accepted; there may only be expressions in other languages.

1.4 The registration file must follow the following rules:

1.4.1 Single file of the work in PDF, containing the following items:
Cover containing the title and the name (s) of the author (s) or pseudonym (s) chosen;
Professional formatting must be followed;
Synopsis and / or Story-line;
Script and / or Script;
Profile of the main characters;
Author's intention and main references;
statement of authorship signed by the author (s).

1.4.2 No incomplete and / or submitted documentation will be accepted after the registration deadline.

1.5 The Audiovisual Market Screenplay Contest is not responsible for any situation arising from the absence of registration in the “Regulatory Body for Records” in the country of the author in question, requiring a declaration of authorship signed by the author (s) which must be attached to the uploaded file.

1.6 The organization of the Audiovisual Market Script Contest also reserves the right to extend the deadline for submissions, or the date of the winners, as deemed appropriate, by announcing such information in their communication channels.

1.6.1 The organization reserves the right to deliver curatorial analyzes and awards by January 22, 2021.

1.7 The Audiovisual Market Script Contest is not responsible for any expenses related to the participation of screenwriters in this Contest.

1.7.1 The Audiovisual Market Screenplay Contest is not responsible for the consequences of any untrue information that may be presented by screenwriters participating in this Contest, reserving the prerogative to disqualify those responsible for any infractions of these Regulations at any time.

1.8 When submitting their script (s), the screenwriter (s) affirms (s) consent and agreement with the terms contained in this Regulation, also stating that all information provided to the FICBC organization at the time of registration is true. The authorship declaration must contain: Name, Identification Document, Place, Date, Signature of the declarant and the following sentence "as this document is true, I declare under penalties of law, that this work is registered for the" Screenplay Contest " of the 10th Edition of the International Film Festival in Balneário Camboriú is authored by (Name of the Author) ".

FILMES
01- Só serão considerados filmes finalizados a partir de Janeiro de 2018;

02- Filmes brasileiros serão aceitos mesmo que já tenham sido projetados em outros festivais.

03- Os filmes devem ser enviados em sua versão original;

04- Filmes não falados em português devem ser legendados em português, inglês, espanhol ou francês;

05- Inscrições ou materiais enviados com atraso não serão aceitos;

06- Todo material enviado ao festival não será devolvido;

07- Com o objetivo de proteger o interesse dos realizadores, todos os filmes inscritos serão arquivados na FILMOTECA com o único propósito de documentação e pesquisa, não ficando disponível para empréstimos;

08- Os filmes selecionados serão divulgados no site www.festivalbc.com;

09- Todos os filmes selecionados terão trechos copiados para fins de divulgação (TV, site, e/ou outros meios);

10- A programação fica totalmente a critério dos curadores de cada sessão do festival e suas decisões são finais e irrevogáveis;

11- Cada filme selecionado poderá ser exibido pela organização do festival de acordo com a necessidade de grade e itinerância realizadas;

12- Filmes inéditos selecionados deverão preservar seu status até a realização do festival;

13- Nenhum filme selecionado pode ser retirado da programação do festival após a confirmação de participação;

14- Em caso de seleção, o responsável deverá fornecer a lista de diálogos em formato .srt e/ou tradução para português quando solicitado;

15- O festival não confirmará o recebimento de nenhum material de inscrição e pedimos que por favor não envie e-mail solicitando a confirmação;

16- A inscrição só será aceita após o cumprimento das exigências previstas neste Regulamento;

17- Somente projetos inscritos de acordo e conforme este Regulamento serão considerados para a seleção do festival;

18- A inscrição no festival implica na aceitação das exigências previstas no presente regulamento.

CONCURSO DE ROTEIROS

1.1 A inscrição para o Concurso de Roteiros estará aberta até 18 de outubro de 2020, horário de Brasília.

1.2 Estão habilitados a participar realizadores do mundo inteiro, maiores de 18 anos, inscritos ou não sob pseudônimo.

1.3 Só serão aceitos roteiros escritos em português, espanhol ou inglês; podendo haver apenas expressões em outros idiomas.

1.4 O arquivo de inscrição deve seguir as seguintes regras:

1.4.1 Arquivo único da obra em PDF, contendo os seguintes itens:

Capa contendo título e o nome(s) do(s) autor(es) ou pseudônimo(s) escolhido;
Deve-se seguir a formatação profissional;
Sinopse e/ou Story-line;
Roteiro e/ou Argumento;
Perfil dos personagens principais;
Intenção e principais referências do autor;
declaração de autoria assinada pelo(s) autor(es).

1.4.2 Não será aceita nenhuma documentação incompleta e/ou enviada após o encerramento do prazo de inscrições.

1.5 O Concurso de Roteiros do Mercado Audiovisual não se responsabiliza por qualquer situação decorrente da ausência de registro no “Órgão Regulador de Registros” do país do autor em questão, sendo que é necessário uma declaração de autoria assinada pelo(s) autor(es) que deve estar anexada ao arquivo enviado.

1.6 A organização do Concurso de Roteiros do Mercado Audiovisual também se reserva o direito de prorrogar o prazo de inscrições, ou a data do(s) premiados, conforme julgue adequado, anunciando tal informação em seus canais de comunicação.

1.6.1 A organização se reserva o direito de entregar as analises curatoriais e premiações até 22 de janeiro de 2021.

1.7 O Concurso de Roteiros do Mercado Audiovisual não se responsabiliza por quaisquer despesas referentes à participação de roteiristas neste Concurso.

1.7.1 O Concurso de Roteiros do Mercado Audiovisual não se responsabiliza pelas consequências de quaisquer informações inverídicas que venham a ser apresentadas por roteiristas participantes deste Concurso, reservando-se a prerrogativa de desclassificar, a qualquer momento, os responsáveis por quaisquer infrações ao presente Regulamento.

1.8 Ao inscrever seu(s) roteiro(s), o(s) roteirista(s) afirma(m) anuência e concordância com os termos constantes deste Regulamento, afirmando ainda que todas as informações fornecidas à organização do FICBC por ocasião dessa inscrição são verdadeiras.

Deve-se conter na declaração de autoria: Nome, Documento de identificação, Local, Data, Assinatura do declarante e a seguinte frase "por ser verdade esse documento, declaro sobre penas de lei, que essa obra inscrita para a o "Concurso de Roteiro" da 10ª Edição do Festival internacional de Cinema em Balneário Camboriú é de autoria de (Nome do Autor)".
