Normally, October is the time to celebrate all things genre but this year, we're doing something a little different and we'll be hosting the event in September as part of Dubbo DreamCon.

Thrills and Chills Fantasy, Sci Fi and Horror Fest wants to share with our audience interesting and unique genre films from around the world. We're looking for horror, sci-fi, fantasy, dystopia in all its forms!

All sub-genres welcome, along with non-English films (as long as there are subtitles).

We are particulalry interested in Australian films and films by underrepresented filmmakers. We'd love to hear about you and your project in your cover letter!

Awards & Prizes

The audience will vote on their favourite film of the event and the winner will receive laurels and a certificate.

All official selections will be screened and will receive laurels.

Rules & Terms

No premiere status required.

All types of films, including music videos, which fit into the genres of horror/thriller, fantasy and sci fi are welcome.

Films can be up to 15 minutes long (no minimum length).

Films must not contain full frontal nudity or graphic depictions of sex.

If selected, films must be available for digital download (preferably FilmFreeway screener).

Entry does not guarantee selection.

By submitting your film, you agree that you have have full right and authority to declare:

- that you have all the necessary rights to film and all its components
- you grant the film festival a non-exclusive right to screen the film and to use and distribute promotional material relating to the film

By entering your film in the film festival, you grant us permission to share stills, posters, images, teasers, etc of your film to promote your entry and the film festival.
