October is the time to celebrate all things genre! Thrills and Chills Fantasy, Sci Fi and Horror Fest wants to share with our audience interesting and unique genre films from around the world.

All sub-genres welcome, along with non-English films (as long as there are subtitles).

There will be monthly semi-finalists in each category. From these, official selections (updated as finalists) will be made for our live screening in October. Monthly semi-finalists will be advised on or before the 10th of the month following the month of entry and will be listed on our website. Not all semi-finalists will be included in our live screening.

Category winners will be announced at the live screening event. As well as the listed categories, there will be an audience favourite selected.

All category winners will receive an email certificate.

Rules & Terms

No premiere status required.

All types of films, including music videos, which fit into the genres of horror/thriller, fantasy and sci fi are welcome.

Films can be up to 10 minutes long (no minimum length).

Screenplays can be up to 15 pages long in standard formatting (excluding title pages, etc).

Films must not contain full frontal nudity or graphic depictions of sex.

If selected, films must be available for digital download (preferably FilmFreeway screener).

Entry does not guarantee selection.

There will be official selections and finalists with the audience favourite voted the winner at the live screening, along with winners for each category. You must enter a main category to be eligible for consideration for any of the sub categories.

Were there are insufficient entries or no suitable entries in a category, we reserve the right to not nominate finalists or select a winner for that category.

Selections and finalists will not automatically be included in the live screening - we will let you know of the program on or before the final notification date.

By submitting your film, you agree that you have have full right and authority to declare:

- that you have all the necessary rights to film and all its components
- you grant the film festival a non-exclusive right to screen the film and to use and distribute promotional material relating to the film

By entering your film in the film festival, you grant us permission to share stills, posters, images, teasers, etc of your film to promote your entry and the film festival.

If you are disqualified for not abiding by the rules, any entry fees will not be reimbursed.
