An IMDb qualifying Festival
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?
1. DISTRIBUTOR REVIEW by Worldwide Motion Pictures Corporation (WWMPC.COM) for features, Adler & Associates for features and shorts, Cardinal XD, CCS Releasing, and Polaris Pictures (for screenplays) for our chosen "Best of Festival" winners based on enough qualified submissions.
We accept produced and unproduced scripts.
Get your Rhodium-winning script submitted for consideration to Polaris Pictures, a film finance company.
Polaris does not accept unsolicited submissions.
We don't have any control or influence over Polaris Pictures or any of our associate distributors, who decide whether to offer you a production deal or even respond to your email. We merely open the door for the top winners.
2. The opportunity to be included in an international film distributor's buyer's packet.
3. A hybrid festival that runs as both a live screening festival and a virtual screening on WRPN.tv: We invest in getting distributor recognition for quality films to give them a life beyond a one-time festival showing.
SFHAFF will screen the Best of Festival award winners only. More than one Best of Festival award could be given, both to foreign and domestic entries, based on the number of qualified submissions.
We collect audience feedback from live screenings.
Our screening event collects feedback from the audience for our distributors. We don't conduct after-screening networking parties or seminars.
Video interviews of the viewing audience may be conducted and shown on WRPN.tv
If a Best of Festival winner decides not to screen live, fails to submit the required materials, or does not respond to our requests, we reserve the right to cancel the live screening. However, the award winner will still retain their award.
Winning an award in a subcategory does NOT qualify for screening and sending to our distributors. SUBCATEGORIES DO NOT QUALIFY FOR BEST OF FESTIVAL OR BEST OF SHOW AWARDS.
4. Any film rejected receives a personal letter explaining why.
Film submissions go through two stages in each of our 11 Film Festivals (or judging committees)
Stage one entails the Acceptance Judges reviewing your submission and determining whether it has the production values to be Officially Selected to compete (be judged for an award.) Being an Official Selection does not guarantee that your film will be screened.
When you receive an official selection notification, it means your film, screenplay, or novel has passed the stringent acceptance process set by the selection judges. Now, it's ready to go in front of the awarding judges.
Rejected submissions can be corrected and resubmitted for free, even in the following season.
While most festivals don't explain rejections, we strive to help filmmakers improve their festival acceptance rates and, therefore, their marketability.
Stage two: Officially selected submissions are sent to the AWARDING judges. They will choose the award (s) for the films. Not all films are recognized.
5. Regardless of deadline status, all STUDENT FILM ENTRIES are subject to a flat fee of $35. (Proof required of student status at the time of filming: no refunds if your ID is not legitimate.)
Finally, our founders are committee members of the Universal Film & Festival Organization (UFFO.ORG). The UFFO is a non-profit organization in the United Kingdom dedicated to "promoting best business practices for film festivals." It ensures that your film will be judged fairly and thoroughly.
