NEAP Film Festival - New Educational Audiovisual Project

Section 1: Cinema for school
The categories allowed in the competition are: fiction, experimental works and documentaries with a maximum duration of 30 'for short films and 60' for medium films made by students of first and second grade Italian schools (higher education) as part of the Cinema for the school (since 2017 to today) “Visioni fuori luogo” and CinemaLab or in the context of projects meant to promote film culture in schools

Deadline for sending material: from 1st November to 28th February 2023 on the FilmFreeway platform, writing the name of the participating school, title of the work, year, project area, duration, indication of the artistic direction, any prizes already received, profile, brief synopsis and notes of direction and an image of the film.
- allowed formats: mp4 and mov
The authors of the selected films must subsequently send the HD files for the screenings within the festival via YouTube, Vimeo, or by uploading them to a Dropbox folder (in the best possible quality).

The films must not contain any kind of advertising.
Each author and producer is responsible for the contents of the submitted film and must guarantee the respect for copyright relating to sounds or images of any third parties.
By accepting the aforementioned conditions, the insurance candidate assures the truthfulness of the information provided to us and authorizes the processing of their personal data for the dissemination of information and promotional material for the Festival (catalog, website, press review, etc.). By submitting the application to participate in the festival, everyone fully accepts all the conditions and rules set out above. Failure to comply with the terms will result in exclusion from the competition.
Participation in the NEAP festival is free.

AWARDS: “Giuria Giovani” (Next Generation) and "Dietro le Mura" award: training course on cinema techniques lasting 6 hours for the group of students and teachers by an accredited MIUR trainer

Section: La Grande Bellezza (The Great Beauty)

The categories allowed in the competition are:

- fiction short films (max 30’);
- documentaries made by Italian and/or foreign directors.

Both categories must show the great naturalistic and artistic Italian Beauty and represent Italy in the quality of their message and in their innovative, inspiring and effective cinematographic expression.

Sezione 1) Cinema per la scuola

Possono partecipare al concorso: cortometraggi e mediometraggi di finzione, animazione, opere sperimentali e documentari della durata massima di 60 minuti (titoli di testa e di coda inclusi) realizzati da studenti e studentesse di scuole italiane secondarie di primo e secondo grado nell’ambito del programma Cinema e Immagini per la Scuola (dal 2017 ad oggi) - azioni a) CinemaLab e c) Visioni fuori luogo – o realizzati nell’ambito di altri progetti volti a promuovere la cultura cinematografica nelle scuole.

Scadenza invio materiale: dal 1 novembre al 28 Febbraio 2023, sulla piattaforma FilmFreeway, sarà possibile inserire nell’apposito campo il link all’opera caricata su Vimeo (oppure inviandola tramite WeTransfer / Ydray.com alla mail submissions@ecolecinema.it), indicando correttamente nella scheda d’iscrizione: nome della scuola partecipante, titolo dell’opera, anno, ambito progettuale, durata, indicazione della direzione artistica, eventuali premi già ricevuti, sinossi breve e note di regia, trailer e un’immagine del film.
Gli autori dei film selezionati dovranno successivamente inviare i files HD (formati mp4/mov) tramite Wetransfer / Ydray.com alla mail (submissions@ecolecinema.it) per gli screenings all’interno del festival.

I filmati non dovranno contenere alcun tipo di pubblicità.
La partecipazione al Festival implica la responsabilità sui contenuti di ciascun film da parte dei rispettivi autori e produttori e garantisce il rispetto di copyright relativo a suoni od immagini di eventuali parte terze.
Accettando le condizioni suddette, il candidato assicura la veridicità delle informazioni forniteci e autorizza il trattamento dei propri dati personali per la divulgazione di materiale informativo e di promozione del Festival (catalogo, sito internet, rassegna stampa, ecc.). Inviando la domanda di partecipazione al festival si accettano in toto tutte le condizioni e le regole sopra esposte. Il mancato rispetto dei termini comporterà l’esclusione dal concorso.

PREMI: Premio Miglior Film “Next Generation” di 1000 €;


Sezione 2) La Grande Bellezza

Possono partecipare al concorso: cortometraggi e mediometraggi di finzione, animazione, opere sperimentali e documentari della durata massima di 60 minuti (titoli di testa e di coda inclusi) realizzati da registi italiani e stranieri under 40 che interpretino la grande bellezza naturalistica o artistica italiana e che siano rappresentativi dell’Italia e dell’espressione cinematografica quale sia per la qualità del messaggio che per una espressione cinematografica originale e d’impatto sulle nuove generazioni.

Scadenza invio materiale: dal 1 novembre al 31 dicembre 2022, sulla piattaforma FilmFreeway, sarà possibile inserire nell’apposito campo il link all’opera caricata su Vimeo (oppure inviandola tramite WeTransfer / Ydray.com alla mail submissions@ecolecinema.it), indicando correttamente nella scheda d’iscrizione: nome della scuola partecipante, titolo dell’opera, anno, ambito progettuale, durata, indicazione della direzione artistica, eventuali premi già ricevuti, sinossi breve e note di regia, trailer e un’immagine del film.
