The Campinas Film Festival was created to celebrate the art of cinema and honor the filmmakers who make it all possible. This is a festival dedicated to rewarding artists for their individual talents and for their creative expression through film. The festival seeks to promote independent and experimental films in Campinas-SP-Brasil in an attempt to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and thoughts, which will enable creative encounters of people from all over the world!

AWARDS:
Campinas Film Festival will award, the best of the main categories of the festival: feature film, animation, documentary, short fiction, student film, cinematography, original soundtrack, directors, actors, etc.
The award consists of a digital award certificate to be sent by email to the winners, as well as a laurel corresponding to the award to be used with the award-winning film material.
The Campinas Film Festival has as its prize:
The Grand Prize Swallow of the Festival.

Rules and regulations
from Campinas Film Festival
I. Competition
Campinas Film Festival (hereinafter called Festival) will take place in Campinas-SP-Brazil, online.
The Festival will receive for the competitions:
NATIONAL FORMAT (ONLY for FILMS directed by Brazilian FILMMAKERS):
• FEATURE FILM – competition for the best Brazilian film*(Documentary are not considered in this category);
• SHORT FILM – competition for the best BRAZILIAN short film* (duration up to 30 minutes);
• DOCUMENTARY – competition for the best BRAZILIAN Documentary* (duration up to 30 minutes);
• ANIMATION – competition for the best Brazilian animated film* (duration up to 30 minutes);
• STUDENT FILM – competition for the best film made by a Brazilian student* (duration up to 30 minutes).
*In case of lack of sufficient number of short films to prepare a set of films of high artistic level, the Organizer has the right to join competitions in a competition for The Best BRAZILIAN Short Film.
INTERNATIONAL FORMAT: The competition will strive to present other regions of the world through films made by independent artists, students and amateurs.
• FOREIGN FEATURE FILM – competition for the best foreign film (Documentary are not considered in this category) - must be subtitled in Portuguese;
• FOREIGN SHORT FILM – competition for the best foreign short film (must be subtitled in Portuguese - duration up to 30 minutes);
• FOREIGN ANIMATION – competition for the best foreign animation (must be subtitled in Portuguese - duration up to 30 minutes) aimed at artists (students, amateurs, independents) from all over the world;
• FOREIGN DOCUMENTARY – competition for the best foreign documentary (must be subtitled in Portuguese - duration up to 30 minutes), aimed at artists – students, amateurs, independents – from all over the world.
• FOREIGN STUDENT FILM – competition for the best film foreign students (duration up to 30 minutes).

II. Organizer
The Festival's creator and promoter is Ogawa Butoh Center, (hereinafter referred to as the Organizer). The person representing the Organizer, is João Butoh.
Only the Ogawa Butoh Center have copyright and intellectual property rights for the entire Festival.

III. Participation Conditions
1. Entrants to the contest must be over 15 years old and involved in filmmaking.
2. The submitted film cannot be longer than 30 minutes (except for Feature Films).
3. The film must have all the qualities that commonly classify it as being submitted (feature film, short film, documentary, animation).
4. The submitted films will be pre-selected.
5. The Festival will qualify and evaluate the films according to its own subjective criteria. The Participant has no right to object to the Selection Committee's qualifications and evaluation.
6. Films must be submitted within the established deadline.
7. The Festival will only consider entries submitted through the website: https://filmfreeway.com/CampinasFilmFestival .
8. The entry must include the film with Portuguese subtitles!
9. The list of films selected for the Festival will be published within the established deadline.
10. Each participant can send a maximum of 2 films. Entries without attachments will not be eligible.

IV. Film rating
11. Films will be evaluated for the Competition by the festival director.
12. The Director's task is to resolve the competition in each of the formats in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations and the principles of fairness and justice.
13. The Festival awards prizes to the best films of the Festival, awarded in each of the competitions. It is also possible that there are other awards given by cultural institutions and the public.
14. Judgment decisions are final and conclusive and not subject to appeal.

V. Copyright
15. The person submitting the film or its director declares that he is the owner of the film or acts on his behalf, with the consent of the copyright holder and him personally, not the Organizer (mentioned in point 2 of these Rules and Regulations) , which will not be subject to any dispute relating to this matter.
16. The person submitting the film gives his/her consent for his/her production to be shown during the Festival and during other Festival promotion events organized by the Organizer.
17. The person submitting the film gives his/her consent to use pieces of his/her work in television programs covering the Festival.
18. The person submitting the film declares that he will not demand any payment for the exhibition of his work during the Festival and post-Festival events promoting the Festival.

VI. Technical remarks
19. All entries submitted to the competition will remain in the Organizer's archives.

VII. The responsibility of the Organizer and Participants of the Competition
20. The Organizer is not responsible for the violation of any law relating to the projects submitted by the Participants.
21. The Organizer is not responsible for claims by third parties about the copyright of the submitted films.
22. Participants are solely responsible for the events mentioned above.

VIII. Declarations by Participants, protection of personal data
23. Participants are required to comply with the provisions of these Regulations.
24. The participant by submitting the film also accepts the provisions of these Rules and Regulations and consents to the inclusion of his personal data in the Organizer's temporary database and to process it by the Organizer exclusively for the purposes of organizing the competition, to the extent necessary for its proper functioning.
25.By accepting these Rules and Regulations, Participants also irrevocably declare that:
voluntarily join the contest,
your identity presented to the Organizer is true,
o agreeing with the publication and use of the film submitted to the competition for the purposes of the competition, under the conditions described in these Regulations, as well as exhibitions to promote the Festival.

IX. Final Provisions
26. These Rules and Regulations will become effective upon posting on https://filmfreeway.com/CampinasFilmFestival.
27. The Competition Rules and Regulations are available for the entire duration from the date of publication on https://filmfreeway.com/CampinasFilmFestival.
28. All information about the Contest contained in promotional and advertising materials is merely incidental, and the rights and obligations of the Participants and the Contest Organizer are governed by law and by the provisions of these Regulations.
29. Rules and regulations may be subject to change. All Participants will be previously informed of the changes. The Organizer reserves the right to suspend, discontinue, extend or cancel the Contest without giving reasons.
30. Changes to these Rules and Regulations will apply as of this date.
31. Matters not covered by these Rules and Regulations will be decided by the festival organization.
32. The Participant in the Competition must immediately notify the Organizer of the change of address or other data provided for the Competition.
33. Submission of films through https://filmfreeway.com/CampinasFilmFestival is equivalent to reading these Rules and Regulations and accepting their conditions.
Multiple Submissions: When sending in more than one project, each one must have its own submission material.
34. No entry shall have been screened commercially or released in video format or available on the internet prior to the Festival dates (exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Festival)
35. Those selected will be notified via email. Those not selected will be notified via email the following week.
36. If selected you should be able to provide the following material:
·Full press kits including film stills and directors bio and Photo;
·60 Seconds Digital Video clip or trailer for promotional press;
·The project synopsis, Cast and crew credits.
