REGULATIONS 2025

The third edition of FAB! will take place from October 7 to 10, 2025, in Bacoli, primarily within the spaces of the Bourbon Complex of Fusaro.

To submit a film to FAB!, participants must follow the instructions on the festival’s website www.festivalarcheologiabacoli.com, which redirects to the dedicated page on the “FilmFreeway” platform. A submission fee of €5.00 (five/00) is required to present a film for consideration by the festival’s artistic direction.

The artistic direction of FAB! selects films for the competition based on their alignment with the editorial guidelines of the festival. Preferred selection criteria include: film premiere status, production year not earlier than 2022, and a maximum duration of 60 minutes.

The producers of selected films will receive an email confirming their selection. Within 30 days of receiving this notification—under penalty of exclusion—they must submit a Vimeo link with a downloadable file for the festival jury’s viewing. For films in a language other than Italian, producers must provide Italian subtitles—failing to do so will result in exclusion.

The jury consists of five experts with recognized competence in the fields of history, archaeology, and film production.

The production teams of the selected films will be offered accommodation in a facility chosen by the festival organization for the day of their film screening. A shuttle service to and from the festival venue will also be provided.

At the end of the festival, the jury will award the winning film the "FAB! Award," a terracotta statue representing a Kore. Additionally, the "Audience Award" will be presented—also represented by a terracotta Kore statue—based on audience votes collected through dedicated ballots.

All films in competition must be accompanied by a release form in which the authors and/or producers take full responsibility for the content of their works. By submitting their film to FAB!, they also declare that they have fulfilled all obligations related to copyright laws applicable in their respective countries.
