Onward!! Join us during this decadal survey of sci-fi excellence.
It is a celebration of old and new. As one of the oldest science fiction festivals, we will present you with a selection of insights and stories never seen. There is plenty of planning and work to do. We are open to participants planetwide to join us in the beautiful city of Miami, Florida.

The intent of MiSciFi is to showcase the best in Science Fiction, Fantasy, Comedy, and other imaginatively-themed films from around the world. This celebration is in the trendy and progressively global megalopolis of Miami, Florida. Our creative and inspirational environment is ideal for exploring films that ponder the infinite possibilities our multiverse holds.

There will be workshops, panels, and lectures. In addition to this twelfth season, the Film Market will be available. We have invited distributors to connect with filmmakers.

Notifications require submitters to have a reachable email or phone contact as you are contacted more than once during the festival season. So grab tickets early, inform your friends, and prepare for the best original content to reach South Florida.

Content submitted to the Miami Intl Sci-Fi Festival will be promoted on our website, in printed materials (such as the festival program), and in our press and marketing activity (this can include presenting films that we have selected to the press). The filmmaker gives MiSciFi the right to use the name of the film, and the images submitted for the uses listed. We also inquire if the filmmaker wants to screen their film at tours or similar activities; as we often get asked to provide guest spots at other festivals and events.

Once a film is officially accepted to the festival, the filmmaker can no longer withdraw it from the festival lineup. The filmmaker is also responsible for submitting the screening materials at least four weeks before the festival. If the screening will be a world premiere, please let us know as we will do our best to promote to the local community, and please keep us abreast of your production and marketing activities!

Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt (about 2 minutes or less) from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival or its assignees, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

You can tell from the get-go that this festival is run with a deep love for science fiction and for those who create it. I really appreciated the selection and the opportunity to speak about my work through online interviews. Despite being a virtual selection, I was able to meet the organizers and fellow filmmakers and had some truly lovely networking opportunities. This festival feels like a true community, and that was my favorite aspect of it.

Two of my multiple-award-winning screenplays--Fairyland 2.0, a kids' fantasy feature, and In All but Blood, a future-set SF pilot--became official selections at MiSciFi 2026. Whoopie.

But the one-page "script reports" for both were produced by some drooling dropout from a 3rd-rate film school: nasty, abusive, unactionable, and illiterate, with provably false accusations of typos, poor English grammar and punctuation, formatting errors, being "not professionally written," and "no commercial potential."

Absolutely the most worthless and unprofessional notes ever. MiSciFi ought to be ashamed of themselves!

Although I was unable to attend the communication
Was lovely and I even got a welcome phone call which is the first in my festival experience and that really meant a lot. There is such a love admiration for the genre and all of the projects they select. I really felt that come through. Will definitely submit again.
