"RAW Film Festival had one of the strongest festival programs that I've ever had the pleasure of being apart of. The level of talent on display inspired me and it was an honor to screen with fellow filmmakers of such high caliber. The festival's focus on the artist and its celebration of all styles, genres and forms, highlights the unique visions and diverse voices that are working in Los Angeles independent film scene." - Gerry Maravilla | RAWFF’16 Alum, Head of Crowdfunding @ Seed & Spark

"RAW Film Festival is such an inspiring event...as an independent filmmaker, I continue to feel RAWFF's strong support long after the festival in the form of a collaborative and creative community, local to home. RAW FF offers a wonderful space for emerging filmmakers to feature their work on the big screen. It's small but, it has that underground quality to it that really sets it apart. A great selection of experimental/dance and commercial content. REALLY!

  • RAW is a left of center film festival that really captures the DIY spirit of filmmaking. The organization are artists at heart so they aren't afraid to take chances with their programming. The expertly curated festival lineup had something for everyone. The one-day event was more like an art show than a traditional film festival which I thought was amazing. The film blocks included live performances, a VR experience, and in-depth Q&A with the filmmakers. The venue was first-rate with an amazing sound system. Nick and the RAW family were inviting and on top of every detail. Great festival for those looking for an off-kilter film experience.
