The Manhattan Independent Film Festival has set itself apart from the vast majority of festivals. There is excellent communication between organizers and filmmakers. At every turn, filmmakers receive helpful correspondence about the standing of their work. In particular, the acceptance letter was worded in a truly meaningful way that very much speaks to the level of excellence and singular vision to which the independent filmmaker strives. I also appreciate the connections MIFF has forged with NY Film Week and the follow up that encourages Official Selections to submit to other noted festivals - helpful waivers included!

Matt the organizer was clear, direct and easy to communicate with. The festival was free to viewers/attendees which I think is terrific. And although neither Adrian or I could attend, friends did. They confirmed my sense about the festival's high quality of selections and great programming. I couldn't rate networking as I was not at any of the screenings. However, judging from everything else I'm sure it would have gotten 5 stars as well. Thank you, Matt for such a great experience.
