IN-PERSON THEATRICAL SCREENINGS AND FREE LIVE STREAMING+TV with PBS GUAM
This is a momentous year for the organization as we return to our in-person theatrical event in addition to the online stream and locally televised broadcast of select films with PBS Guam.

As we make efforts to recover from the pandemic by carefully re-introducing film back into the physical space, for GIFF's 12th edition we are proud to once again partner with PBS Broadcasting’s local Guam affiliate, KGTF Television Channel 12, to continue delivering our stories to a global audience.

The 12th edition of GIFF offers both in-person theatrical screenings and limited, select programming via FREE online streaming and a one-time local television broadcast provided by PBS Guam.

ABOUT GIFF
In short, we’re the cinematic bridge between the U.S. and Asia. Our past festivals include Academy Award, Emmy, Sundance and Cannes Palme d’Or winners that have showcased side-by-side with first-time DIY indie filmmakers. But what all past filmmaker delegates agree to be the most memorable is the fact that our approach is unique, we keep it simple and we respect film. We are a community festival and we believe in substance and connection.

GIFF strives to capture the passion and spirit of independent filmmakers and their films as we showcase them to the Pacific Asia region.

COMMUNITY. EDUCATION. ENTERTAINMENT.
Guam International Film Festival (GIFF) is the first and only annual U.S. film festival in the western pacific. GIFF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to foster the growth of cultural understanding through the art of filmmaking. We achieve this by providing free film education and promoting cultural understanding throughout our communities. GIFF provides this through community outreach, education through festival programs and efforts to build awareness for social responsibility through the curation of our film programming.

GIFF proudly presents an international cinema event exhibiting a new and dynamic source of cross-cultural artistic presence, bridging gaps among the U.S., Asia and the Pacific’s multi-cultural population and region.

Only a few hours away from major international metropolitan cities such as Sydney, Manila, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, and Hong Kong, Guam has always served as the global gateway to an eclectic mix of cultures from the U.S., Asia and Pacific rim offering a platform to exchange experiences and opportunities in education and entertainment.

Our past programs have included collaborations with Pixar Animation Studios, Pacific Islanders in Communications, Adobe, Warner Bros. Archive and more.

Guam film fest is a great film fest. It does not only learn you to say Hafa Adai (Salud in Chamorro) but also allows you to see some great films made by some great filmmakers in front of a devoted and passionate audience.
I had the chance to get my first film Hsu JiBehind the screen awarded there long ago, and was verry pleased to see my second film Chorus Girl screened there.
unfortunatly, this year, it had to be essentially on a digital app, but there has been many way to maintain the great connection beetween audience and filmmakers.

A festival that keeps getting bigger. We are very pleased that our film Sugar on The Weaver's Chair can be part of this year's festival program along with selected and interesting films. Kel Muna, Don Muna and all the festival staff really appreciate us filmmakers with clear and fast communication. Thankful that our happiness has increased, our film has received attention to become the Grand Jury Award for Narrative Feature this year. What a wonderful year, thank you 10th GIFF..
