EMERGENTIA is a platform dedicated to contemporary and emerging choreographic creation in Geneva, Switzerland. The result of a collaboration between three Geneva institutions : L'Abri, the Pavillon ADC and the TU - Théâtre de l'Usine, EMERGENTIA was created from a common will to build an arena for discovery and support of choreographers at the beginning of their career. The program, conceived jointly by the three venues, combines the invitation of local and international pieces as well as the co-production of local new creations.

In three years, EMERGENTIA has become a key event for both local and professional dance audiences. Since 2019, the platform has co-produced 13 creations by local choreographic artists and accompanied their teams at the artistic, production and administrative levels. The combined experience of the three structures allows for a supportive and demanding context for these first or second creations, offering a great freedom of format and aesthetic choices.

For its 4th edition, which will take place from October 31st to November 11th 2023, EMERGENTIA will include to its program for the first time a selection of screendance projects: hybrid projects exploring choreography and motion through the lens of either film, video or digital technologies. . .

By screendance, we define audiovisual projects ranging from documentary to fiction as well as more experimental forms working around the notions of dance, movement and the relationship to bodies. We are looking for projects that convey a sensitive, singular and committed gaze at these themes. We value new narratives on the representation of bodies in movement and their diversity.

We're looking for hybrid projects exploring choreography and motion through the lens of either film, video or digital technologies.
