Eemaan Qadri is a Pakistani-Muslim filmmaker born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, currently based in Los Angeles. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Film and TV from Toronto Metropolitan University and is pursuing a master’s in Film and TV Production at the University of Southern California.
As a director, her credits include the music video Afterglow by EMA, short films Marwa and the Moon, If You Can Catch Me, Renascence, Hania’s Home and an episode of CBC Kids: Special Delivery. Marwa and the Moon has received recognition at festivals including Indie Short Fest, Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, Toronto Lift-Of , and ALTFF, among others. On the other hand, Eemaan has edited and produced a range of acclaimed documentaries, including Cringe, Bhutan: Path to Mindfulness, and Coach Hesh, and has worked on music videos for notable artists such as Hush Valley and EMA.
Mentored by industry luminaries Midge Costin and John Watson, Eemaan’s cinematic voice is rooted in her unique experience of bridging cultures. Growing up between the rich tapestry of her Pakistani heritage and the dynamic landscapes of Western culture, she brings stories to life with a lens that balances visual craft and storytelling heart. Her mission as a filmmaker is to bridge cultures, take down stereotypes, and celebrate diversity, making each project a love letter to her heritage.
