■ 5th Daejeon International Short Film Festival (DISFF 2026) Regulations for Entry

1. Organization
The 5th Daejeon International Short Film Festival (DISFF) is hosted and organized by the Daejeon Film Association Ssin-young-sa-i.

2. Purpose
DISFF actively discovers and introduces excellent short films and AI-driven cinematic works produced globally. We aim to contribute to the diversity of cinema and the development of local film culture in Daejeon. DISFF aims to introduce and award various and excellent short films produced after January 2025 to the audience through screening in the competition sector. To this end, these regulations are established for mutual understanding and consultation on entries between the film festival and exhibitors.

3. Date of Holding
The 5th DISFF will be held in Daejeon, South Korea, in late October 2026.

※ Hospitality Package for Selected Filmmakers:
All directors of selected works will receive an official invitation to the DISFF Networking Party and an Authentic Korean Local Meal experience in Daejeon. (Limited to attending directors)

Award details and benefits may change depending on the circumstances of the film festival.

5. Exhibition Information
1) Eligibility
Films and videos completed after January 1, 2025.
Running Time:
- Short Films: 20 minutes or less (including credits).
- Experimental & Innovation: 10 minutes or less.
- Vertical & Short Form: 3 minutes or less.
Vertical Format (9:16) is highly recommended for the Short Form section.
No restrictions on topic or genre (Must be suitable for general audiences).
Films already screened or awarded at other festivals are eligible.

2) Submission Period
March 10, 2026 – July 31, 2026
(Refer to specific deadlines on the entry site).

3) How to Enter
Register work information and upload review videos on FilmFreeway (filmfreeway.com).

4) Entry Fees
Earlybird: Free / Regular: $15 / Late: $20 / Extended: $30.
Fees may vary by category. All entry fees are non-refundable.

🎓 Student Status Definition
Eligibility: To qualify for the Student discount, the director must be currently enrolled in a high school, college, or university at the time of film completion.

Proof Required: A valid Student ID or Enrollment Certificate (in English or Korean) must be uploaded to the 'Files' section of your Project Profile.

Verification: If the student status is not verified, the submission may be disqualified or moved to the 'Regular' category, requiring an additional fee.

5) Required Materials for Review
Review video file (Under 2GB).
Mandatory Script Submission: ALL entries (including English-language films) MUST upload an English script or dialogue list (PDF or SRT) for judging and subtitling purposes.
Additionally, an English script (PDF) must be uploaded for accurate judging.
Required: 1 Director’s photo, 3 Still photos, 1 Poster, and Director's profile.
The review video must be identical to the actual screening version.

6. Selection of Works
- Selection is made under the authority of the DISFF program team and a preliminary committee.
- Selected works will be announced and individually notified by September 15, 2026.
- Once selected, the screening cannot be canceled.
- Competitive entries may be screened in non-competitive sections.

7. Use of Promotional Materials
DISFF may use up to 30 seconds of selected works for promotional purposes (trailers, social media, etc.).
Submitted materials will be used in the DISFF catalog and website.

8. Submission & Return of Screenings
Final screening files must be DCP or MOV (ProRes 422).
Burned-in English subtitles are mandatory for all final screening copies (including Korean and non-English films) to ensure global accessibility.

9. Archive
DISFF may archive a digital copy of selected works for one year for research or non-commercial screening after the festival, subject to consent from the copyright holder.

10. Screening After the Festival
Winning and selected films may be screened at domestic/international showcase events organized by DISFF through separate consultation with copyright holders.

11. Agreement
Submission through the online site constitutes agreement to all DISFF regulations.

12. Other
1) Exhibitors are solely responsible for all copyright clearances. Any disputes may lead to the cancellation of screenings or awards.
2) Festival schedules may change due to force majeure.
3) Matters not specified will be decided through consultation between DISFF and the exhibitor.

■ 제5회 대전국제단편영화제(DISFF 2026) 경쟁 부문 출품 규정

1. 조직
대전국제단편영화제(이하 DISFF)는 대전영화협회 씬영사이가 주최·주관한다.

2. 목적
DISFF는 국내 및 전 세계에서 제작된 우수한 단편영화와 AI 기반 영상 작품들을 적극적으로 발굴, 소개하고 작품의 다양성과 지역 영화 발전에 기여한다. DISFF는 경쟁 부문의 심사를 통해 2025년 1월 이후에 제작된 다양하고 우수한 작품들을 관객들에게 소개하고 시상하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 영화제와 출품자 간 출품에 관한 이해와 협의를 위해 이와 같은 규정을 두고 있다.

3. 개최일자
제5회 DISFF는 2026년 10월 말 대전에서 개최된다.

4. 시상내역 및 선정작 혜택
대상 (상장, 트로피): 모든 부문에서 가장 우수한 영화
AI & SF 최우수상 (상장, 트로피): AI 및 SF 부문에서 가장 우수한 영화
일반 단편영화 최우수상 (상장, 트로피): 일반 단편영화 부문에서 가장 우수한 영화
애니메이션 최우수상 (상장, 트로피): 애니메이션 부문에서 가장 우수한 영화
학생영화 최우수상 (상장, 트로피): 만 20세 미만 학생 영화 부문에서 가장 우수한 영화
세로형 & 숏폼 최우수상 (상장, 트로피): 세로형 및 숏폼 부문에서 가장 우수한 영상
실험 & 혁신 최우수상 (상장, 트로피): 실험 및 뉴미디어 부문에서 가장 우수한 영상
영화음악상 (상장, 트로피): 음악 및 사운드 활용이 가장 우수한 작품 (인간/AI 통합)
관객 인기상 (상장, 트로피): 모든 부문에서 관객 투표 점수를 가장 많이 얻은 영화

※ 시상내역 및 혜택은 영화제 사정에 따라 변경될 수 있다.

5. 출품안내

<출품 조건>
2025년 1월 이후에 완성된 단편 영상 작품
단편영화: 러닝타임 20분 이하
실험 및 혁신: 러닝타임 10분 이하
세로형 및 숏폼: 3분 이하의 영상 (9:16 비율 권장)
주제, 장르 제한 없음 (단, 남녀노소 누구나 볼 수 있어야 함)

※ 러닝타임은 엔딩 크레딧을 포함한 시간을 기준으로 하고 타 영화제 상영 및 수상작도 출품할 수 있다.

2026년 3월 10일 ~ 2026년 7월 31일 (상세 마감일은 출품 사이트 참조)

🎓 학생 신분 정의
- 자격: 학생 할인을 받으려면 영화 완성 당시 고등학교, 대학교 또는 대학원에 재학 중이어야 합니다.
- 증빙 서류: 유효한 학생증 또는 재학증명서(영문 또는 국문)를 프로젝트 프로필의 'Files' 섹션에 반드시 업로드해야 합니다.
- 확인: 학생 신분이 확인되지 않을 경우, 출품이 취소되거나 '일반(Regular)' 카테고리로 변경되어 추가 요금이 발생할 수 있습니다.

심사용 영상파일 (용량 2GB 이내)
감독 사진 1장, 스틸 사진 3장, 포스터 1장(스틸 사진으로 대체 가능)

※ 한국어 또는 영어 대사가 아닌 모든 외국 작품은 심사용 영상에 반드시 영어 자막이 포함되어야 하며 정확한 심사를 위해 영문 스크립트(PDF) 제출을 의무화합니다.
※ 심사용 영상은 실제 상영될 영화와 반드시 동일한 내용이어야 하며, 이 영상은 반환하지 않는다.
※ 출품 신청 시 영화제 상영 및 수상 경력을 표기해야 한다.

6. 작품 선정
작품선정은 DISFF 프로그램팀과 별도의 예심위원단의 책임과 권한 아래 이루어진다.
경쟁부문 선정작은 2026년 9월 15일 DISFF 홈페이지에 공고 및 개별 통보한다.
경쟁부문 선정작은 제5회 DISFF 경쟁부문에 상영되며, 상영을 취소할 수 없다.
경쟁부문 출품작은 비경쟁부문에 상영될 수 있다.

7. 홍보용 자료 사용
DISFF는 경쟁부문에 선정된 작품을 활용한 영상을 제작해 영화제 홍보에 사용할 수 있다. 단, 이 경우 홍보 영상에 활용되는 선정작의 길이는 30초 이내로 제한한다.
선정된 작품의 제출자료들은 DISFF의 카탈로그와 홈페이지 등에 홍보 자료로 활용된다.

8. 상영본 제출 및 반환
상영을 위한 상영본은 DCP 또는 MOV(ProRes 422)로 제출해야 하고 다른 포맷 상영은 출품자가 DISFF에 사전 동의를 얻을 경우 예외적으로 가능하다.
최종 상영본에는 모든 작품(한국 영화 포함)에 영어 자막이 반드시 삽입되어 있어야 합니다.
상영본 제출 기한은 선정 후 별도 공지한다. (운송료 출품자부담)
온라인으로 제출한 디지털 상영본은 반환하지 않는다.

9. 아카이브
DISFF 경쟁 부문 선정작의 경우 영화제 이후 상영 및 연구에 활용하기 위하여 저작권자 또는 배급자와 협의 후 디지털 포맷의 사본 소장을 원칙으로 한다. 사본은 영화제 이후 1년간 소장하고 이후 파기한다.
저작권자 또는 배급자가 동의하지 않으면 아카이브를 진행하지 않는다.

10. 영화제 이후 상영
DISFF의 수상작 및 상영작은 영화제 이후 DISFF가 주최·주관하는 국내외 상영회에서 상영할 수 있다. 단, 이 경우 DISFF는 반드시 저작권자 또는 배급자와 협의를 통해 상영을 위한 소정의 허가를 얻는다.
DISFF는 저작권자 또는 배급자와 협의를 통해 별도의 배급 대행 계약을 체결하여 배급을 대행할 수 있다.

11. 동의
DISFF는 출품작의 저작권을 소유/대행하는 자가 온라인 출품 사이트에 작품정보 등록 및 영상 제출을 완료함과 동시에 출품규정에 동의한 것으로 간주하며 그 효력을 갖는다.

12. 기타
1)출품자는 출품작의 상영과 관련된 저작권을 직접 해결해야 하며, 이와 관련된 저작권 문제 발생 시 출품자가 전적으로 책임진다. 저작권 분쟁이 발생할 경우 상영 및 수상을 취소할 수 있다.
2) 불가항력의 사유로 영화제 일정 및 상영 방식이 변경될 수 있다. 이 경우 DISFF는 변동 사항을 출품자에게 공지하고 저작권자와 협의한다.
3) DISFF와 출품자는 협의를 통해 위의 규정에 포함되지 않은 사안에 대하여 결정할 권리를 갖는다.
