GENERAL INFO:
• Submission period opens March 3rd, 2026 and closes October 1st, 2026.
• Entrants will be notified on or around November 1st, 2026 if their film has been selected for the festival program.
• Submissions may be shot in any film format or any video format.
• Only one title may be submitted per entry.
• Films must not have been completed before January 1, 2024.
• Film or video entries must be submitted via online at FilmFreeway. Submissions without submission via FF will not be considered without written exception from the festival.
• By submitting, you indicate that you have read, understood, and have complied with all eligibility requirements of the Crossroads Film Festival (CFF) and the categories of which you are submitting to via FilmFreeway.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING RULES AND PROMOTIONAL USE & CLEARANCES:
• You must possess creative control of the submitted work, including music used in your submission, or have written approval from the appropriate individual or entity. You may be asked to submit additional verification for any content submitted if there are questions about your license or authorization.
• The Entrant agrees to allow CFF to use its Entry and any accompanying materials for its promotional campaign.
• Participants agree that all materials related to their film, if accepted, may be published in the CFF program, Web page and all other promotional materials or property and in all media. Posters and images of the film may be used independently as well as in combination with images from other films to promote the film and Crossroads Film Festival. It is the responsibility of the filmmakers to be sure they have proper clearances, as needed, for copyrighted material appearing in their entries. The filmmakers remain entirely liable for any claims that may occur in result of screening the entries. The individual or group submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.
• Filmmakers fully retain all rights, title and interest in their films and all intellectual Property.
• The Entrant will indemnify and hold harmless the Crossroads Film Festival, DeWitt Community Library, DeWitt Opera House, and all other partner entities and their agents, and assigns from any claims or losses that result from Entrant’s failure to obtain necessary right or permissions, including attorney’s fees incurred by the indemnified parties. The Entrant holds CFF, DCL, DeWitt Opera House, and all other partner entities and their agents harmless from any damage to or loss of the Entry en route or otherwise during the course of the Festival’s possession of the entry/project.
• If your film is selected, we will contact you through the email provided in your FilmFreeway submission. Failure to grant request may result in disqualification or not being scheduled.
• FEE WAIVERS are not available. ALL entries are treated equally. ENTRY is free. We DO NOT PAY FOR ANY SCREENING FEES for any film that was submitted to review.
• All decisions of programmers, screeners and jurors are final. All entries will be viewed and given equal consideration.
• CFF dates & guidelines are subject to change, if necessary, without prior notice.
• By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you certify that you hold all necessary rights for the submission of this film and have read the regulations. Your submission is your acceptance of all the Terms and Conditions listed under these Rules and Terms.
