This is a hard-working, community-centric festival. They are creative in finding venues that amplify the message of your film. They are proactive in spending time and resources to bring in audiences that would be interested in your film, and benefit from viewing it. And they are fun to work with.

This is a wonderful festival with amazing heart. The festival director, Sandie De Freitas does a marvelous, hands-on, job of navigating the difficulties of managing all aspects of the festival in the midst of changing venue availability, etc. The other films were wonderful, and the mission of the festival--Making A Difference--is evident in each. I will definitely submit again.

I was thrilled that Commffest selected my film, "A Road Out." Participating in this festival was a joy -- great organization and communication and a truly fabulous Q&A session. Many thanks.

  • My film was accepted into this festival and I received an email from one of the programmers asking for a screening link. That was the only communication I received from this festival. I have no idea if my film even played at all. There were no emails about purchasing tickets, venues, or anything related to the festival. I even inquired twice about festival laurels that I could add to my poster, but Commffest didn't even have the decency to respond. Beware, beware, beware—a total and complete waste of $30.
