It is a platform for powerful storytelling that uplifts culture, elevates health, and inspires human potential — across every genre of entertainment.
In a time when the world feels divided, anxious, and overwhelmed, we believe stories matter more than ever.
We champion films that:
Empower positive lifestyles
Explore physical, emotional, and spiritual health
Bridge science and consciousness
Inspire courage, innovation, and compassion
Entertain while awakening
From comedy (because laughter heals) to documentary, horror, narrative features, music films, and experimental works — we celebrate entertainment that expands awareness.
This is cinema with purpose.
A Proven Legacy of Breakthrough Moments
Creative Chakra has long been a gathering place for visionary thinkers, filmmakers, and holistic leaders.
The groundbreaking film The Secret was first screened in the United States at Creative Chakra — followed by an intimate Q&A with the filmmakers. Before it became a global phenomenon, the idea of manifestation and quantum consciousness was shared here.
That’s what we do.
We recognize transformative ideas early — and give them a platform.
In our early years, Creative Chakra partnered with Learning Annex to create a holistic clearing house for authors, filmmakers, and yoga leaders. Seminars, screenings, music, yoga, healing arts — all converged in one powerful space.
The Holistic Chamber of Commerce began here.
Major conscious events and green festivals were programmed at our location.
Filmmakers, public figures, and visionaries gathered here.
For over four years as a live festival — and continuing today — we have been raising the vibration through film, music, wellness, and immersive experience.
More Than a Festival — A Movement
Creative Chakra is rooted in our flagship holistic retreat in the Santa Monica Mountains of Encino, California — where integrative medicine meets holistic healing in a nature-immersed setting.
This environment is intentional.
Because the films we show are not meant to be consumed passively.
They are meant to activate something within you.
We create a safe, inspired space where filmmakers can bring forward bold ideas about:
Health innovation
Conscious living
Environmental responsibility
Mental wellness
Spiritual science
Cultural healing
We believe storytelling can shift belief systems — and belief systems shape the world.
The Chakra Film Festival is a uplifting lifestyle brand, featuring spiritual cinema & a online Chakra Channel.
Raising the vibration for 4 years as a live film festival with film and music and yoga, also a creative chakra healing spa and chakra aromatherapy. Where integrative Medicine meets holistic while the environment and skills and intent is for healing, in a vacation like setting, a nature immersion.
Creative Chakra is a flagship holistic health and wellness center spa retreat in the Santa Mountains and Hills of Encino, CA. Chakra has always been the holistic epicenter for healing and learning.
Founded by Sandie West
Prizes are awarded in all the major categories (best picture, director, cinematographer, screenwriter, actors etc.), divided by genre: narrative feature, documentary feature, comedy (laughter is healing) and shorts and music videos.
This year we are including screenplay contest with Q and A's from the writers and the whole theme lends well to a chakra theme photography contest. Complete with Award ceremony & red carpet event.
