Founded in 2021, Cactus Film Festival is a young, dynamic festival dedicated to films for children, teens and young adults. It champions authentic, inclusive and forward-looking storytelling, with a curatorial focus on artistic quality, new audiovisual languages and independent - especially European - productions.

Each June, the festival unfolds in Aosta Valley, a crossroads between Italy, France and Switzerland where cinema, nature, and heritage create an immersive cultural setting. Year-round on-site, digital, and hybrid initiatives extend its reach across the Country, engaging an audience of over 75,000 viewers annually.

The programme includes international competitions for shorts and features, spotlights emerging talent, and presents curated strands dedicated to sustainability, inclusion, cultural diversity and film education. Through the Cactus Edu project, film literacy activities reach schools nationwide, while the Cactus Industry Forum represents the region’s principal meeting point for audiovisual and media professionals.

More than a festival, Cactus is a bridge between people, cultures and stories.
Be inspired by the power of cinema and imagine the future together.
