EVALUATION AND AWARDS:

1- If a film is selected, it may go through the following steps: Official Selection, Semi-Finalist, Finalist (nominees), and Winner. Films are evaluated only in the categories in which they were submitted, so each additional category requires a separate individual entry.
2- The winners meet the high level of excellence that the Festival seeks. Only films with this value will be able to carry the laurels of the BUEIFF winners, will receive their certificates, and will be able to request their trophies.
3- All-season winners in each category will be announced on the BUEIFF Press website and social media platforms.
4- The "Honorable Mention" is an extra distinction of the official competition. That is, in which the judges do not intervene, it is granted exclusively by the Festival directors. Here the film that has distinguished itself from the others will be awarded, in its general aspect, concept, aesthetics, and/or particularly brilliant performance in its direction, photography, acting, and/or screenplay.
5 - Student Film Category: The 5 Nominee films will receive physical certificates at their addresses and a press kit from BUEIFF. Also, if the director so wishes, the film can be included in the ProChannel Platform and shown online for 1 month. The Winner will receive a Trophy and will be screened in the next live event. Additionally, (if the university is a sponsor) for every certificate or trophy a college student earns, their college will receive another to keep on their campus.

All of us on the ‘Melodia’ team in Taiwan have been delighted with the warm reception given to our film in the 13th Buenos Aires International Film Festival. BUEIFF represents our film’s South American premiere.

We were thrilled to learn of the honours given to Chung Hua Weng, the pianist heard in our soundtrack. His eloquent performance gave musical voice to a vision we all shared.

BUEIFF communication has been timely and positive in every respect. We look forward to hearing more news in the future about cinematic festivities in Argentina.
