Blue Planet Future Festival in Busan

1. 조직 Organization
하나뿐인 지구영상제는 사단법인 자연의권리찾기가 주최, 주관한다.
The Blue Planet Future Festival in Busan (BPFF) is hosted and organized by Global Networks for Blue Planet.

2. 목적 Objectives
기후위기를 정면으로 다룬 한국 최초의 영화제로, 2022년 첫 회를 시작한 하나뿐인 지구영상제는 예측이 어려워지고 거칠어지고 난폭해지는 기상이변에 대해 정면으로 대응하고자 기후위기의 정확한 진단과 대안을 모색해보는 기후위기 플랫폼 영화제이며 시민들의 참여가 중요한 참여형 영화제이다. 영화와 함께 지구환경의 중요성을 체험하고 배우는 영화제가 되고자 한다.
It is Korea's first film festival to deal with the climate crisis head-on, and it started its first edition in 2022. BPFF is a climate crisis platform that seeks accurate diagnosis and alternatives to respond directly to extreme weather that become difficult to predict and violent. It is also a film festival where citizens' participation is important. BPFF wants to experience and learn the importance of the global environment through films.

3. 개최 일자 Period
제3회 하나뿐인 지구영상제는 2024년 9월 5일부터 9월 9일까지 5일간 부산광역시에서 개최된다.
The 3rd Blue Planet Future Festival will be held in Busan for 5 days from September 5 to September 9, 2024.

4. 영화제 프로그램 및 시상 내역 Programs & Awards
제3회 하나뿐인 지구영상제의 프로그램은 경쟁 부문인 ‘하나뿐인 지구’ 외에 다양한 비경쟁 부문의 프로그램으로 구성된다.
BPFF2024's program consists of a competitive section called 'Blue Planet Award' and various non-competitive programs.
4-1. 하나뿐인 지구 Blue Planet Awards
기후위기를 소재 혹은 주제로 다루는 등 폭 넓은 의미에서 환경과 관련된 작품 영상 공모전으로 예선을 거쳐 본선에 선정된 작품들은 제3회 하나뿐인 지구영상제에서 상영된다.
Competition for films on climate crisis or related to the environment in a broad sense. Works selected for the finals after preliminary screening will be screened at BPFF2024.
4-2. 시상내역 Awards
대상 (1편) Grand Prize 3,000,000 KRW * 1
우수상 (1편) Excellence Awards 1,000,000 KRW * 1
특별상 (5편) Special Award 1,000,000 KRW * 5
인기상 (1편) Popularity Award Award certificate
* 시상 부문의 명칭과 상금 규모는 변경될 수 있다.
The name of the award category and the amount of prize money are subject to change.

5. 출품 안내 Entry
5-1. 출품 조건 Eligibility
- 2019년 1월 1일 이후 제작 완료된 작품으로 이전 하나뿐인 지구영상제에 출품된 바 없는 작품
- 형식, 장르 및 길이에 상관없이 기후변화를 소재 혹은 주제로 다루거나 폭넓은 의미에서 환경과 관련된 작품
- Films completed after January 1, 2019, not submitted to BPFF previously
- Films about environment, especially climate crisis regardless of format, genre and length
5-2. 출품 방법 How to Submit
- 출품 마감: 2024년 4월 30일 (화)
- 출품은 탄소 발생을 최소화하기 위해 온라인으로만 가능하며, 아래 두 방법 중 하나를 선택하여 출품해야 한다.
- Submission Deadline : April 30 (Tue), 2024 (KST)
- Submission is only available online by selecting one of the two below to minimize carbon generation.

6. 작품 선정 Selection
- 출품된 작품은 하나뿐인 지구영상제가 구성하고 위촉한 예선 심사위원의 심사를 거쳐, 2024년 7월 2일까지 선정작에 한하여 출품인에게 개별 통보된다. 영화제 상영이 결정된 이후에는 어떠한 이유로도 작품 상영을 취소할 수 없다.
- 출품된 작품들은 출품인의 허락을 구한 후 다양한 비경쟁 부문에서 상영될 수 있다.
- The submitted works will be reviewed by the preliminary judges organized and commissioned by the BPFF, and only the selected works will be notified to the entrants individually by July 2, 2024. Once confirmed for screening at the film festival, entries must not be withdrawn for any reason.
- The submitted works may be screened in various non-competitive categories after obtaining permission from the entrants.

7. 상영본 제출 및 반환 Materials
상영이 확정된 작품은 홍보를 위해 영화제가 요청하는 추가 자료와 고화질의 디지털 상영본을 요청하는 기한 내에 탄소 발생이 가장 낮은 형태로(온라인 운송 추천) 제공해야 한다.
7-1. 경쟁 부문에 상영이 확정된 작품의 운송 비용은 출품인이 부담한다. 영화제는 작품의 반환 비용을 책임지며, 타 행사로 운송되는 경우는 일반적인 규정에 따른다.
7-2. 비경쟁 초청 부문에 상영이 확정된 작품은 출품인이 공식 운송 업체를 이용하는 경우 발생하는 왕복 운송 비용을 영화제가 부담한다. 타 행사에서/로 운송되는 경우는 일반적인 규정에 따른다.
The finalists must provide the materials and the high-definition digital screener of the films that have been confirmed to be screened online within the deadline for requesting.
7-1. Once a film is selected for the competition, the one-way trip transport and insurance costs for the film must be prepaid by its sender. BPFF will pay for the return cost only. Shipments to other festivals are the exception, in which case the standard practice of cost sharing will be applied.
7-2. For films selected for the non-competitive sections, the round-trip transport costs will be covered by BPFF only when the shipment has been made through the official courier service designated by the festival and the return is to the origin of the print. Shipments to and/or from other festivals are the exception, in which case the standard practice of cost sharing will be applied.

8. 자막 Subtitles
선정된 작품은 원어로 상영되며, 비영어권 작품일 경우 영문 자막본 상영을 원칙으로 한다. 최종 상영본은 한국어 자막 작업 등 원활한 상영을 위해 상영 포맷이 변경될 수 있다.
Selected films will be screened in their original version. English subtitles are required for non-English and non-Korean language films. The final screening format may be changed for screening, such as Korean subtitles.

9. 홍보 Promotion
영화제는 홍보를 위해 출품인이 제공한 홍보용 영상(트레일러)을 그대로 이용할 수 있으며, 상영작 전체의 10%, 최대 3분 이내 분량을 임의로 제작하여 사용할 수 있다.
The Festival may use promotional videos (trailers) provided by entrants for promotion. If not, the Festival has the right to arbitrarily produce and use promotional videos for 10% of the total length of the film, up to three minutes.

10. 자료 관리 Archiving
10-1. 영화제는 상영작 자료 및 상영본을 아카이브에 보관하며 이를 상업적 목적을 제외하고 출품자의 동의 하에 홍보 및 연구, 교육적 목적을 위해 활용할 수 있다.
10-2. 영화제는 작품의 자료 및 상영본의 보관을 책임지며, 상영본이 손상 또는 유실된 경우 제작자나 배급업자에게 상영본 한 벌의 제작비용에 한하여 보상한다.
10-1. The Festival keeps the screening materials and screening copy in the archive and may use them for promotional, research, and educational purposes with the consent of the exhibitor, except for commercial purposes.
10-2. The Festival is responsible for the storage of materials and screening copy, and if it is damaged or lost, it shall compensate the producer or distributor only for the production cost of a single screening copy.

11. 영화제 이후 상영 Additional Screenings
수상작을 포함한 상영작은 저작권자의 동의 하에 하나뿐인 지구영상제가 주최 또는 후원하는 상영회에서 재상영될 수 있다.
All selected films, including award-winners, may be included to the tour screenings hosted or sponsored by BPFF with the consent of the copyright holder.

12. 저작권 Copyright
출품작에 사용된 음악이나 영상 등의 저작권은 출품인이 직접 해결해야 한다. 수상 이후라도 출품작의 표절, 모방, 저작권 침해, 선거법 위반 등으로 판명 시 수상이 취소되며 상금은 회수함을 원칙으로 한다.
The entrants are responsible for copyright clearances for all the materials used in the film. If it is found to be plagiarism, imitation, copyright infringement, or violation of the election law, the award will be canceled and the prize money will be collected.

13. 불가항력 Force Majeure
천재지변 및 사회적 위기 상황이 발생하는 경우 변경 사항이 발생할 수 있으며, 관련 내용은 출품자와 협의하여 진행할 수 있다.
In the event of a natural disaster or social crisis, changes may occur, and the related contents will be discussed by mutual consent.

14. 계약 효력 Validity
위의 규정은 출품 신청서를 제출함과 동시에 출품규정에 동의한 것으로 간주하며 효력을 갖는다. 하나뿐인 지구영상제는 위의 규정에 없는 사안에 대하여 결정할 권리를 갖는다.
These regulations are considered valid upon submission of the entry form to BPFF. The BPFF has the right to decide on matters not in the above regulations.
