7th Bogura International Film Festival 2027

I am grateful to have my first narrative short film screened here especially when the main character hails from Bangladesh so it's a mini homecoming for this film.

The festival has it's obstacles during my time there, but the people involved are great at making you feel welcomed. The panels, juries and filmmakers invited to this festival were amazing artists that has shaped the Bangladesh film scene; i'm grateful to have met and chatted with them during the festival!

The festival is relatively new, but it's ground up initiative and how the local community is plugged into this festival makes it an intimate yet important one to the city of Bogura. Sending my support the festival and festival committees, thank you!

I had a wonderful experience participating in the Bogur Film Festival. I was pleased to be a part of the festival, which values creativity, interesting stories and cultural exchange.
It was a special honor for our team that our short film "Identity" won the award for Best International Film.
This recognition means a lot to us, and it really reflects the festival's desire to draw attention to diverse voices from around the world.

I am very grateful that my animated short film In Half was selected and recognized at the sixth edition of the festival. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend in person, as distances between countries can sometimes make things difficult, but this did not take away from the warmth of the experience at all.
From the very first message, the festival team showed genuine hospitality, professionalism, and a strong commitment to independent and auteur cinema. Communication was always clear, kind, and consistent, and they repeatedly checked whether it might still be possible for us to attend, which we truly appreciated.
We are especially thankful for the way the festival presented the selected films on its website, as well as through its active Facebook page, where video messages and the screening of the awards ceremony were shared. These efforts made us feel included and connected, even from a distance.
Overall, this is a professional and meaningful event, and an important and highly recommended space to take part in, especially for young filmmakers. As creators, we have many stories to share, and film festivals like this give us the opportunity to do so.
Thank you very much for the recognition and for the hard work behind this festival. I sincerely hope the festival continues to grow and to welcome films from all over the world. I also hope we have the chance to be selected again and to visit Bogra one day.
