A filmmaker working at the intersection of art and journalism, Benito Sinclair made his directorial debut in 2025 with the short films Loose Ends and Ali’s Story, following a decade of experience as a documentary producer and music supervisor. Based in Chicago and originally from the California coast, Sinclair is a relentlessly hands-on operator who does whatever it takes to tell an authentic story and offer a strong, fresh perspective. His feature documentary on the NYC Cabaret Law movement is currently in production.
