Loose Ends @ Big Forever with Richard Album & His Original Singles
Some loose ends will never be tied up. Shot over two hot, humid days in late-June 2023 in a fly-on-the-wall, one-man-band style, Loose Ends is a lo-fi, verité hangout film about local bands in Chicago at a transitional moment in their lives, and the last Big Forever Fest in West Town. Featuring performances by Richard Album and Hard Femme.

Working at the intersection of art and journalism, Benito Sinclair made his directorial debut in 2026 with short films Loose Ends and Ali's Story following a decade's experience as a documentary producer and a music supervisor. Based in Chicago, IL and originally from the California coast, Ben is a hands-on operator who does whatever it takes to tell an authentic story and provide a strong, fresh perspective. Feature documentary on the NYC Cabaret Law Movement coming soon.
Loose Ends is part music doc, part hangout movie, and part love letter to a community in transition. It's a hangout in Chicago spent listening, as Richard Album and his band reconnect and reflect one last time in the place that gave them a voice. It marks my directorial debut, shaped by a life spent loving (and sometimes playing) music, curating music , and living with sound as a part of culture and identity.
Shot over two sweltering days in West Town, the film captures the final Big Forever Fest, both a DIY house show and a fundraiser for local queer and trans youth. At the center of it was the reunion of the original members of Richard Album, returning for Richard's last show.
The energy of the day extended far beyond one band. Many voices, bands, and participants filled the space, and while not all could fit into this specific story, they inform the film’s communal rhythm and inspired us to share a separate supercut with everyone who took part.
Please enjoy! Thanks again for your time and consideration.
