The Be Green Film Festival is a film festival that aims to raise public awareness of sustainable development and key contemporary issues: climate change, hunger and poverty, gender equality, the fight against inequality, sustainable cities and communities, clean energy, and the protection of terrestrial and marine ecosystems.
The festival engages young people in all stages of development, from conception to organization, all the way to final production.
Created and directed by Gaetano Colella and Andrea Simonetti, both screenwriters and actors, the festival aims to raise awareness among young people and the public on environmental issues through a film festival that combines film screenings, meetings with prominent figures, and workshops, creating connections between institutions, schools, and businesses.

Held in Crispiano, in the province of Taranto—one of the most environmentally affected provinces—the festival explores the theme of "green" in all its meanings. Starting with the environment, which was a key theme of the first edition, the festival aims to embrace, throughout its editions, issues related to sustainability, both social and economic, and virtuous practices for the harmonious development of humanity with nature, with a special focus on future generations.
BGFF is organized by Armamaxa Teatro, with the support of the Municipality of Crispiano, the Puglia Region, and Puglia Culture.

Il Be Green Film Festival è un festival cinematografico che si prefigge di sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sulle tematiche dello sviluppo sostenibile e su alcuni temi portanti del mondo contemporaneo: il cambiamento climatico, la fame e la povertà, la parità di genere, la lotta delle disuguaglianze, le città e comunità sostenibili, l'energia pulita, la protezione e dell’ecosistema terrestre e marino.
Il festival coinvolge i giovani in tutte le fasi di sviluppo, dalla ideazione all’organizzazione, fino alla realizzazione finale.
Ideato e diretto da Gaetano Colella e Andrea Simonetti, entrambi sceneggiatori e attori, il festival si prefigge di sensibilizzare i giovani e l’opinione pubblica sulle tematiche ambientali attraverso una kermesse cinematografica che intreccia la visione di film, incontri con personaggi illustri e workshop, creando connessioni fra istituzioni, scuole e imprese.

Realizzato a Crispiano, in provincia di Taranto – una delle province più sofferenti dal punto di vista ambientale -, il festival esplora il tema del ‘green’ in tutte le sue accezioni. Partendo dall’ambiente, che è stato tema cardine della prima edizione, il festival si prefigge lo scopo di abbracciare, nel corso delle sue edizioni, le tematiche inerenti la sostenibilità, sia sociale che economica, le pratiche virtuose per lo sviluppo armonico dell’uomo con la natura, con uno sguardo privilegiato alle generazioni future.
BGFF è organizzato da Armamaxa Teatro, con il sostegno del Comune di Crispiano, di Regione Puglia e Puglia Culture.
