"Alice nella Città" is an international film festival dedicated to young generations. The festival hosted Orlando Bloom and Dakota Fanning as special guests in 2017 and Jim Parsons in 2018. The first event was organized in 2003 and after having been a section of the "Rome Film Festival" from 2006 to 2011, in 2012 it became an independent and parallel section of the festival. The artistic directors of "Alice nella Città" are Gianluca Giannelli and Fabia Bettini.

Short Film International competition:

1) First Prize - Best of the Festival
3.000 euros. Plus, the winning short film will be publicly exhibited for paid admission in a commercial motion picture theatre in Los Angeles County for a run of at least seven consecutive days with at least one screening a day. This will allow the short film to be eligible for award consideration for the 92nd Academy Awards.

2) Gran Jury Award
Option contract on a feature film project.

3) Audience Award
3.000 euros. More details will be announced soon.

The contest is open to:
- short films under 30 minutes,
- short films of any topic or genre are accepted,
- short films from all over the world are accepted,
- there is no limit to the age of the directors.

*The 2018 Jury members will select 10 short films. The 10 directors will be invited to Rome to present their films and to meet producers, film commissions, special guests of the festival. They will also have the chance to find a producer for their first feature film project. The festival will cover all the expenses.
