The Little Art presents
Zero mm Youth Film Festival Southasia
Zero mm is an international film festival presenting films on a range of themes related to youth and Southasia.
Zero mm aims to act as a launchpad for emerging filmmakers in Southasia by providing the audience to create dialogue through cinema. It envisions nurturing an international community of youth filmmakers, activating an audience for Southasian identity and inspiring a new generation of filmmakers.
The Festival is a jump board of experimental filmmaking, a celebration of urban culture and an inspiration for youth to explore Southasia and its identity.
The Festival offers fellowships to selected filmmakers each year for learning, networking and development of future collaborations.
The submission is open for the 2019 Zero mm Youth Film Festival Southasia.
We are especially seeking films made by young and emerging filmmakers from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Pakistan.
Filmmakers who are not Southasian but have made films telling Southaisan stories can also submit.
The themes for the Zero mm 2019 are;
. Anything Southasia
Anything, literally, that can give a taste of Southasia through compelling stories. We want to talk about food, history, art, culture, bazars and more.
. Urban Youth
Films that talks about urban youth, their aspirations, life and dreams
. Gender Experience
Looking through gender lens, reflecting on life experiences and sharing how gender impacts opportunities and challenges
