The Annual Youth Diversity Film Festival for Middle and High School students is presented by Robert McCeune, Director of the BHERC Youth Diversity Film Festival. These aspiring young filmmakers study their craft at organizations and schools across the globe.

BHERC is proud to spotlight shorts created by diverse youth. These film screenings and panel dialogues are an opportunity for emerging young directors to showcase their skills, talent and vision, while giving the audience a chance to view and discuss the artistry, passion and sacrifice involved in the independent film making process.

All participating filmmakers will receive a medal and other various merchandise for being accepted to have their films screened.

Films must be by youth and range from 1-60 minutes to qualify.

  • Awesome all the way around. The venue was an A+. To screen our films in a major theater in Los Angeles was a dream come true. This festival is one of the best ever! You will be very happy if your film is selected to be included. They had over 1500 entries and screened 30 in person with 100 screening online. The very best!

The BHERC Youth Festival was a wonderful event. There were teen filmmakers from all over the nation, not just Los Angeles. There were kids from Maine, Utah, and Arizona. There was a great panel of professional filmmakers and amazing lunch and networking space for filmmakers to meet and talk.

The red carpet backsplash was a fun space to take photos and enjoy the moment. We look forward to screening again next year!
