The Yellow Springs Film Festival is a celebration of creativity, connection and innovative performances exhibiting narrative and documentary feature films, shorts of all genres, stand up comedy and live music. The festival takes place at the historic Little Art Theatre, The Foundry Theater at Antioch College and WYSO Radio HQ. YSFF values art in all forms, diversity and dialogue. Past headlining speakers / performers include Jim Jarmusch, Fred Armisen, Raekwon and RZA (Wu-Tang Clan), Reggie Watts, Steve Zahn, Nadia Conners, Walton Goggins, Leila Conners, Sam Green, Steven Bognar, Gary Hustwit, Bill & Turner Ross and Nelson George.

Each year YSFF gives financial support through the Julia Reichert Award to an emerging female documentary filmmaker. Submissions take place through our website separate from FilmFreeway and open in the Spring.

SUBMISSION REGULATIONS

- All films must be submitted as a secure online screener (i.e. Vimeo).
- Once a submission link has been accepted, we cannot guarantee that subsequent updates will be viewed.
- Non-refundable entry fee (payable via Visa, Mastercard, or American Express)
- Filmmakers submitting to YSFF must own 100% of their work and have completed all the proper rights and clearances needed for public exhibition.
- We consider films in any language, from anywhere in the world. If your film is not in English, make sure it has English subtitles
- We consider films regardless of their premiere status.
- Features previously or currently being released in the US by a third party distributor are not eligible for consideration.
- Features previously self-distributed by the filmmakers online are not eligible for consideration.
