Born in Singapore, Yashvanth Kanesan is a Sydney based filmmaker. He is a final year undergraduate majoring in Screen Production at Macquarie University, set to graduate in 2025.

Though, he has directed Nirkaathe (2015) and Asathaaranam (2019) in his early teens, Glasses (2024) is his first larger scale project. Notably, his first two projects were Tamil based films, while the Glasses is English.

Apart from spending his free time working on scripts or learning 3d software, Yashvanth likes to volunteer on other film projects playing different crew roles.
