I am Yas Souza, a filmmaker in training at Unisinos University in Porto Alegre, where I began my journey in audiovisual production in 2024.

Originally from Pará and now living in Rio Grande do Sul, I bring with me a background that combines Clinical Psychology and extensive experience in theater, influences that shape my sensitive and creative approach to filmmaking.

My path is rooted in a deep interest in people, human connections, and the many ways we express ourselves, elements that guide the way I tell stories.

I have developed a particular way of narrating: intuitive, sensitive, and attentive to detail. I move between directing, editing, and cinematography, always in search of authentic narratives that honor the truth of each character and situation.
