YEAA Shorts: Exhibition Series is a year-long curated screening initiative presented by the Young Emerging Actors Assembly (YEAA) of ACTRA Toronto.

This exhibition series is dedicated to showcasing short films made by ACTRA members, with the goal of spotlighting Canadian talent, fostering community, and inspiring the next generation of ACTRA filmmakers to take creative agency in their careers.

In Canada, short films often complete their festival runs and disappear from public view. YEAA Shorts seeks to rediscover these works and give them renewed life through thoughtful curation, public exhibition, and moderated conversations with filmmakers.

Selected films will be screened at Rolling Pictures (Toronto) and programmed by the YEAA Chairs using a transparent selection rubric. Screenings will include a brief filmmaker Q&A to encourage dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and peer connection.

YEAA Shorts: Exhibition Series is a non-competitive exhibition program. Screenings are considered private exhibitions and do not compromise festival premiere status.

Films must have been written, directed, and/or produced by ACTRA members.

The YEAA committee of ACTRA Toronto prioritizes members who can play between 17-30.

Films must be made using an ACTRA Agreement (Co-op, LBP, TIP etc.)

All genres accepted.

Short films only.

Films may have screened previously at festivals.
