Xandar is an award-winning screenwriter, filmmaker, and creative director whose work across independent film and comics is rooted in metaphysical storytelling. His stories explore survival, identity, reinvention, and the unseen forces that shape human transformation.
Originally from Eastern Europe, Xandar came to the United States as a young war refugee, an experience that continues to shape the emotional and philosophical foundation of his work. Across his projects, he is drawn to characters standing at the edge of collapse, transformation, and self-discovery.
His feature film work includes Beyond the Call of Duty, an independently produced action-horror film he wrote and directed, which secured international distribution in more than 30 countries. The project remains a hard-earned milestone from his early years in independent filmmaking and part of the foundation for the work he continues to build.
Across FilmFreeway, Xandar’s projects have earned 55 awards and selections, including 29 IMDb-listed wins and 5 nominations. His short film Worth Fighting For became an official selection at 17 festivals and earned 14 awards, while his screenplays Dear Agony and Frame My Mind have collectively earned 25 FilmFreeway award wins, along with multiple selections, finalist placements, and honorable mentions.
Beyond film, Xandar is the creative director behind Dragon Ball EndTime, a fan-comic presented through panels and appearances at KamehaCon in Dallas, San Diego Comic-Con, and other notable conventions.
Across mediums, his work circles the cost of becoming, the line between transformation and erasure, and the question that follows: “After the storm, will I remain?”
