Xandar was born in Eastern Europe and immigrated to the United States at a young age. Xandar made his short film festival debut with the project "Worth Fighting For".
He was privileged to study under brilliant mentors, such as Leo Partible, prior to his recent return to the film industry after a 5 year hiatus. His most recent short film as writer & direct, "Worth Fighting For (2021)" has been an official selection of 17 film festivals with 14 awards thus far.
Additionally, Xandar has a total of 23 awards for "Best Short Script" between his short horror screenplay "Dear Agony" and the short drama screenplay "Frame My Mind" which was co-written by first-time screenwriter Fauna Nicole.
"Iris" is a short psychological drama screenplay told in BEFORE and AFTER fragments. AFTER tracks the stages of grief in the wake of a violent rupture, while BEFORE returns to the small moments that once felt ordinary, and the warning signs no one wanted to name. This is not a story about a cure. It is about identity under threat, and the quiet endurance of care.
