Woodbury Film Festival celebrates bold visions and powerful voices. Power doesn't always arrive through unflinching determination with loud exclamations. Sometimes it sneaks up on you through subtle but vibrant nuance meticulously woven into the fabric of a narrative-- hidden but visible, silent but bright. This is our thirst and our passion. Discovering, cultivating, and sharing bold, entertaining, and transformative film and media to a thirsty, intelligent audience. Our audience wants to be challenged.

We'll open the festival with a bang with an opening gala followed by two days of screenings, panels, and workshops. We'll wrap things up with an awards dinner and mingle.

Awards & Prizes

An eager and receptive audience may be all that you're after, but Woodbury would like to offer you more.

We'll award In-Kind and/or Cash prizes to the winners in each of the categories. Everyone who's film screens at the festival will receive items of value.

Category winners receive are awarded a custom engraved trophy.

Rules & Terms

While Woodbury doesn't require filmmakers attend the festival, we strongly encourage it. We offer a personalized experience for filmmakers who come to represent their films and give them opportunity to mingle with their audiences.

Q&A sessions will be conducted where every filmmaker can participate. We also will offer workshops and other events that focus on the filmmaker and their audiences.

Films need to have been completed no more than three years prior to submission.

    I was honored to have my script, "Little Things Mean a Lot," named Best Screenplay at the first Woodbury Film Festival. Although I was unable to attend the festival, I was very impressed how friendly and professional everyone was in ensuring I promptly received the prizes, including the beautiful engraved trophy.
